100%/High CPU Usage

Hello,
I have a big problem, when I launch any Abe's game
the game's cpu usage is very high (close to 100%)

My system specs:
CPU: AMD64 3000+
VGA: Nvidia G-Force 6800 GS
RAM: 2 Giga Dual Channel
M/B: Asus A8VE-Deluxe
Soundcard: Creative X-FI Platinum
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

The problem happens only in these both games.
In other games like Tomb Raider Anniversary my computer runs fine
(CPU usage with TR @ 20% maximum)
And I believe my system specs are very high for Abe games
I also tried compatibility modes and still nothing
Any help?

That's strange. Maybe it's because AO and AE are old games, and the system needs to use more power to emulate games made for Windows 95 or 98. Tomb Raider Anniversary looks great for your system specs, and because it's made for Windows XP, it doesn't take as much power.
Maybe you could wipe the dust away from air holes at the side of your tower, or you could open it up and careful brush any dust away.

I removed the dust 2 days ago and I already had started playing Abe.

Does the game itself actually lag when you play it? I think the Abe games grab as much CPU as possible, so that they don't lag - they set themselves as a high priority. You could always set it down some, but unless you're trying to do something else at the same time it shouldn't cause harm. It runs at high CPU on mine too, and these are my specs (straight from X-Fire):

Manufacturer:
NVIDIA
Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz
Memory:
1024MB RAM
Hard Drive:
57 MB -I think it made a mistake here
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS
Monitor:
Plug and Play Monitor
Sound Card:
SB Live! Audio [9400]
Speakers/Headphones:
Keyboard:
USB Root Hub
Mouse:
USB Root Hub
Mouse Surface:
Operating System:
Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

It isn't a problem with your system - it's just how the game runs itself - I get 100% CPU, and no lag - don't worry about it
