Did anyone try to run AO and AE under Vista?

I'm getting my new PC today, it's been confirmed. I'm not sure if it has Vista on it, but if it does, I'll be sure to test AO and AE out on it and I'll post what happens. In future will PC games be made for Vista only?

I put AO on my new laptop with Vista just tonight- it seemed to run fine, other than the videos look weird, but that could be from the disk being all scratched up too. I didn't actually experience any gameplay though. Hoping to get to do that eventually. It's been so long...

I've been really busy with school and college... That, and we had to dump our entire system due to a virus, and the CD wouldn't run on any of our computers because it was too damaged.

Hey, back in July last year, before I got AE for PS1, I played the demo online on XP and it pretty much worked except for the fact that it froze up at some point. Abe's oddysee, which I tried for the hell of it, even though I already had it for PS1 wouldn't work at all.

If AO and AE didn't/don't work on Vista, there are downloadable patches to install for situations like this.

Same here. Also, I got AE for the PC on march 9, and I'm a little confused. It says there are three types of games: AE, faster AE, and fastest AE. Is there a difference? I don't me loading speed, I mean like gameplay.

Try running them. You'll see that the faster versions have reduced graphics. Really, the average computer today is more than capable of running the normal version so the faster ones can be safely ignored.
