rescue 300 mudokons

Ok, I know this has probably been done before and sorry about that but I just need a quick answer. In Abe's Exoddus I just got in the brewery and rescued 188 mudokons. Do you know if I got all of them so far or did I miss some?

Well, I haven't got to the brewery part yet, but did you
know about the secret underground area on the very first
screen in the mines. There you can rescue 12 mudokons
which really adds to your count of saved muds.

Look for secret areas. They are marked by the green brew bottles you see scattered in certain places.

I believe not all secret areas are marked. I might be wrong though.

All the secrets are marked except for the one on the first screen behind the bone barrel (press down). Also, if you are worried, you can cheat by using invincibility and going through the President Aslik in Feeco Depot part again. The 10 Mudokons at the end will reappear to be rescued or killed at your whim each time you do it (kill them by getting them in a fight , slapping them etc. instead of using the bird portal). To open the door again, just watch the TV sequence again past the electric doors.

Hmmm, I did not know of the brew bottle idea, but in AO random bird
portal where hidden everywhere to take you where you can rescue muds
and now they have the bottles to make up for the lack of portals.

Yeah, the bottles are easier to find, I guess. There are secret areas which are accessable from secret areas. I think one of them was somewhere in the Mudomo or Mudanchee Vaults, I'm not sure. You just find a secret area, and see that there are more bottles in there, and you don't know why are they there until you find the secret passage.

Usually, bottles mean that there is a enterance to a secret somewhere. That is what makes the game easy, is that in AO, you had look on every screen to figure out if there was a secret. This one, almost all of the secret are seen through a bottle somewhere. But it's more easy when you have Quiksave, but that is something else I will tell another day.
Or, if you can't find them all, use this walkthrough:
http://www.gamechronicles.com/guides...s/exodtext.htm

Remember, only use this when you already completed the game. Anyway, you still have some bizarre trouble with the game, just pm me, and I will tell you a secret about the game, that does not involve any cheats.

Wow, I had never put together the fact that bottles=secret area, but come to think of it, I can't remember any secrets without them.

I've played that game crouching behind every object and rolling into every wall trying to find all the secrets, without success.

Can you tell me roughly about this secret? I completed the game completely, but is there any other extras or anything I could find?

What's weird about using the bottles is that they end up in Necrum and the Vaults. Somehow. Weird, eh?

I think somewhere there's a secret within a secret. Only once in the game, though.

Heh, I will just tell you. Well, I read from this thread, that you know in Slig Barracks, when you possess Dripik, but kill him on the wrong time, the gas goes off? Well, if you go over to the Telefone (as Dripik) and say the ordinary 'Hey' Do it' thing, but with a twist. If you do that, but kill Dripik before the movie starts, the gas doesn't go off. And if you go back to Feeco Depot, the door is open for Slig Barracks. Basicly, you can go back, save all 49 Mudokons, over and over again, if use that same trick every time. And it works too! But I think most people all ready know that by now.

I'm kinda bummed because I beat it and I rescued like 275 or something and I'm not really aching to play it again right away.

By the way, were there a bunch of secrets in the Mudomo and Mudanchee vaults? (sorry if I spelled them wrong.) Because I only found one there cause I rushed through those parts because I think they're boring except for those last "obstacle course" type escape routes. It seems like the only thing I could of missed because I checked all of the industrial areas.

There are numerous ones hidden. One of them is quite hard as its in a large 'background' scene (the on in the Mudnchee vaults with loads of Fleeches, on the screen to the left of the first one). There is definately more than one and at least 2 in each vault. Can't remember how many exactly, though. Just thought you'd appreciate me saying.

Try rolling off screen on platforms that are out of your way on a normal route...

And when climbing down platforms, crouch if you land behind a rock...

ya, i've tried that hundreds of times.

It's gotten so tedious trying to find all the secrets. I always hit the walls and abe falls over and makes that snarling sound.

As I said, try the walkthrough. It is perfect, apart from doing some areas the long way, not the way that requires splitsecond timing

Now I shall use the bottles thing to carry out my plan. See, I tried to get at the killing bonus before I even found all the secrets, and I ended up killing about 248 or so...no bonus. Does anyone know how many you have to kill?

God, I'm twisted...

More than that obviously. I think it is all the muds who can actually be killed (because some must be saved to open doors.)

Is it really worth getting a killing bonus just to have invincibility in Soulstorm brewery? That wasn't a retorical question I'm just asking because I haven't tried it before.

The oddworld games have pretty good replay value, but it is disappointing because I just kinda realized that the rewards for the saving and killing bonus for Abe's 2 games really aren't that rewarding. Like in AO's saving bonus is just watching the videos (which I think you should be able to view anyway from the menu once seen them in the game) and an extra video you can find a cheat to view on the internet. And in AE the saving bonus is just pics I think you can all find on the internet (not positive though). I think they could do better than that as AO and AE are pretty hard games. I'm sure some of you will argue and say how easy it is.

Anyhoo, on September 2, I managed to locate all the secret areas and complete them, therefore 'winning' the saving bonus. Now, all I have to do is reverse my actions and...
