How to run and then roll

How do you start rolling when you're running, without having to stop to crouch?? Because the path at the end of Bonewerkz, where you pass through a laser and Slogs start running after you, requires that move. I need to run, and start rolling without stopping, or else the slogs get me. Help!! The game doesn't explain how to run-roll...

Yes it does. To run then roll, all you have to do is press X while running without releasing shift.

Or you press Enter. Depends on what your position is on the keyboard.

Yes, you have to keep R1 pressed down as well as X. Release only the X button to continue running.
I thought that bit was quite easy. Then again, I´ve been playing them too much...
