Poem's from home

Just thought I'd post 3 poems I worte.

1.
Sun set

The magestic light,
Omen of Darkness,
Decends slowly.
Sky banding to pink
Twilight to the east.
Warm clouds, deeper bands with one fire edge.

Down behind a backdrop of trees upon the hill
The charm of deep pinks and light yellow ball
Finnaly comes to it's rest.

But the vision is broken!
This beauty falls slowly
Into a dark smog of the city,
And behind the hill of a dump
(Long since full, but still the trucks move).

2.
We must decend

Decending into darkness,
The fear being dispelled by knowing someone near.

Falling into fear,
Hoping that trust is there, but from myself and not another.

Finding out truth,
Fellings seldom lie, though normaly end up wrong or mistaken.

Coming to the parting,
Glad it began and hoping...

Hoping to tear through the ending.
For who can make the link severed,
When so much was used in building
And it still exists now.

3.
Walking east at 8am

Head down against the glow, but still blinking glare
The wet path spraying me with yellow.

Burning eyes I can't keep open
But warry, staying closed when shut
It's too early!

Then finally relief, the shade of a house.
Look up, see the halo of a chimney.
Savior to my sight.

Thankz.
As for no one else replying... better to get the truth than to abstain, i think.

Okay, "You do not have permission to double post"
not a message I ever got before, strange...

Any way, number four:

War

And they'll say:
"How terrible, how could this happen?"
But both sides say the same thing!
And peace isn't there, only an end to fighting.
Too many dead after the first day.
And they say, "We can't let this happen again. But we won"
But it will begin... Someone must spark the forest fire.
War begins...never ends

Will it ever change?
Well, humans can't survive forever.
Iron, coal, oil, peat, petrol, even oxygen and water
They can't last forever.
But other worlds, there's the problem.
Until we end fighting between ourselves, how can we spread
The virus, mankind, when even the moon was too far.
Our ways unfurl; the moon is being sold!
So now we look to Mars. It's already on sale.
And who truely owns space?

But the god of war will result in more than one.
Nuclear activity on Mars? Hidden weapons? Ownership?
Who will be first, and who will try to stop them?
Who targeted Japanese civilians with atomic bombs?
Who wants peace and is pushing war?
War... Always war.

When you're on the other side, who are the terrorists?
War... It will never cease until life ends.
Once and for all. The question...
Will war cause the end of war?
Atomic and bio weapons, ending lives
More than was wanted, maybe all.

Peace?...
After we lose all
And have nothing to want
Maybe then...

Peace... in the end,
Not at the end of war.

Well... asuming I can double post, I'll revive this old thread with a brand new poem.
I wrote it one day too late for it's subject, but it's still good.

Composed on the 23rd of December '04

The sky
Still a touch pink
Awakenes me
Look further at the blaze
A haze conceiling mountains
Orange to the east
Clouds defenceless, turning brown
The solstic over, and light returns
It's first great show, and many more
Are awaiting in the spring

I like that last one.

And I don't think anyone will care that you double-posted a year and a half apart.

Wow, these things are old. In fact, they're so old I now dislike them. Still, new poems! (For some reason I could never kick the "write about nature" muse, so they're still based on seasons... mostly). They're all on my DevArt account if you want to comment/fav there.

Autumn Leaves
Autumn leaves
And woolen sleeves
Are scut'ling all around.

Brown, once greens,
And petals - dreams
Of summer, once more gone.

Fewer bees
And bursting streams
Of autumn finally come.

------------

Winter
Winter's here and silence takes
The gem of bird-song. Winter takes
The warmth of lovers. Frozen flakes
Of water tumble to iced lakes.

The thaw will not be soon.

-----------

Spring's Song
Walking down
In leaps and bounds
Running through the rain again

Windy night
Moon light bright
Never to return again
