Native Why no Playstation releases?

I remember being obsessed with Oddysee and Exodus, then Munch was released for Xbox only. Whats that all about? Think it's a bit naff that they did that to Playstation fans...

Wow! This question is old. To sum up, Lorne Lanning Lanning was given a pretty sweet deal by Microsoft where the Oddworld franchise would be pushed to the forefront. He was of the opinion that Sony could care less about his company. He also recognized that the technology was far superior on the Xbox. The downside was that he was rushed to get MO out by launch and the game turned out to be merely adequate.

Thanks! I'm new here so I didn't know that!

Still, I don't know what the game would be like without Abe, so I'm kinda glad I didn't play Munch's Oddysee!

Again, thanks!

Well ... you are pretty new ...
Yeah, Munch's Oddysee stars Munch and Abe.
Although many agree it wasn't exactly the best in the series ... repetetive gameplay, overly cutesy sound effects, lots of stuff that didn't make the final cut ... I mean, I think its worth playing, if your an Oddworld fan, but maybe only for the sake of experiencing more of Oddworld.

Hmmm. This question is answered in the CQA. Evidently I need to draw more attention to it somehow.

the truth is that playstation wouldn't be able to handle a game like that, sorry to break the truth to you like that.

nah just playing around, well i might be playing.

like munch's oddysee had some graphics that the PS2 might not be able to handle.

Well seeing as I still can't work out where the CQA is, I'd say you're right.

Nate, the thread is stickied, so that's why you didn't notice it... No one notices stickied threads -.-

My point was that I couldn't find the CQA (which I have since realised are located at http://www.oddworldlibrary.net/features.php?page=cqa) rather than the thread that talks about them. Perhaps you should link to them from the forum FAQs.

They were linked to in the topic that talks about them. I'd love for more attention to be drawn to them by linking from the board FAQs and maybe the box that appears on the index when you're not logged in, but outside of GD I have no administrative powers.
