Exclamation Exclusive Major Update

ADVETISMENTS

Oddworld The Movie.......
What is this many people asked at my school.
So i and Kevin decided to do a bit of advetisment,
So there we were in the office of the schoolhead.
For a second we didnt know what to say...
But then i telled about the movie and asked if we could place poster in and around the school.
The schoolhead agreed so designing of the poster is now done thanks to Art Director Rose Wierenga and her crew.
Some things are not realy finnished and they are working very hard at this moment.
I will show the poster as soon as it will be ready.

DESIGN

Of course the designing is in full proces and we have a very nice mudokon village , the home of abe.
We will see many things back in the movie like the stand you see on the beginning of Abe's Exoddus.
The stand is just like in Abe's Exoddus , The signs , the Scrab and Paramite. (not if it isnt in use)
The tree's around the village are based on the "Blue Spruce"
A couple of miles further there is a river.
Also the river has an plant.
This one is based on the "European Lily"
To the south of the village is an place that is known as the "Mudokon Fortress".
This is of course the Mudokon Fortress from Munch's Oddysee.
The industrial things are removed by mudokons to restore the lost lands...
In the movie there will be 6 fortresses,
The biggest one is known as "Flubco Fortress"
When Flubco was gone there was a fortress build there to serve as an outpost bechause it lays on one of the major industrial roads.
The sligs who want to cross the lake (yes it is at the lake) will be shot!
Of course the glukkons dont take this and they send a fleet of Aircorp Carriers to the lake where an historical fight will be....

ART

The art direction has created so many icons for buildings we had to drop some of them...
There are also new icons for new facility's.
but of course we need to keep something secret...

DOELAZ INDUSTRIAL

The new mighty industial facility!
Doelaz industrial!

Other Coperative company's are :
DOELAZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
DOELAZ ARMY AIRPORT
DPELAZ ARMY BASE
DOELAZ INTERNATIONAL PORTH

Woah, when you put it down in writing like that, it sounds like it will be a lot of work to do. Although, it's great to see you have a plan for it. That makes it that much better, and being the audience, we can see what you've got to do.

Once again, I wish you and Fuzzle Guy (and all the voice-over artists, etc) the best of luck! Can't wait to see this baby sometime in 2005!

Alcar...

Question

I like the sound of this alot and cant wait to see it...But i have a question-Won't it get a bit tedious. For example on AO ir would be kind of boring because Abe's greatts a mud, takes the mud to portal, opens portal, mud goes through portal and so on. If you are still rescuiong muds you might want to think of some way around that

Yo !

Making a 3D movie is a hard work which requires time and very good hardware.
So I was wondering : What renderer will you render the movie with ? I mean, will it be rendered in Maya, 3DSMax, Cinema 4D, Brazil ?
Did you begin to animate or render something ?

It's nice to have good ideas on paper, but making them in 3D is less simple.

A little pic to see us your work ?

P.S: I think he's using 3DSMAX.

hey Tim H. C. I have going to be recuited by Fuzzle guy for CG work when I forgot to tell you about the other things I do besides CG work for you. I have been much praised for my Mud voices (you know, like the voices in MO but I also can do AE and AO voices like the hello, follow me type stuff but nobody cares about that) and suprisingly good Vykker voices and Slig reporter voices (thats a new feature and it comes completely automatic using 8 cylinders). Just though I let ya know

yesterday i almost went to bed when i thought of oddude's textures.
i turned my computer on and saw a big white screen with : your computer cannot be started bechause the 169.795.443.348 network turned off.
(my computer is a very weird thing.)
i asked my daddy for explain and it seems our provider is offline in my area.
so my dad called the helpdesk and they said it will take 4 days before i can start on my comp again so i cant connect to my comp.

im writing this on school (in the mathematic lesson)

Sorry Oddude,
maby you think i am lying bechause ive said i will send it soon and was too bisy with homework...,
im not lying
it is only 3 1/2 days left so please wait...
thank you for youre patient,

---Tim H C

It's well known that one page of a script equals approx. one minute of screen time. Ya.

-oddguy
Sorry but, that's not true dude. It depends on how big the pages are, how many words on each page, how fast the dialogue sentences are being read, and how much text is spent on describing scenes, lighting, camera positioning, etc. If it was 300+ pages of PURE dialogue then it might well be like, 7 hours of film. But a directors' script doesn't work like that.

Take the Lord of the Rings for example. The books are huge, with well over 100 pages each, but Tolkein spends a lot of his time on describing the landscapes and surroundings, as well as the happenings, thus the films weren't much longer than 2 hours max.

It's not well known, it may be to film directors like us, but to ordinary folk, it's not.

If there is a page of long action sequences, it should often be doubled

And so do I...
Have you a little extract from your movie, a preview, a trailer, a court animation (even without textures) to show ?
I hope you have already begun... it's a long hard work.

Pics, pics, pics !

Point made indeed, if not slightly flawed.
1. It is a trilogy. 3 movies. Tres.
2. 2 years of the fescribed was pure designing.
3. Actors needed, etc etc...
(Sorry, just hate LOTR)

And on another matter, Alpha, I think Oddude_ was speaking of the textures, not content from the movie. And those were some fine and dandy lookin' models posted there, Oddude_ .
