I would love to play Munch's Oddysee, but I don't want to go out and buy an X-box. Is there a way to play X-box games on my PC? Has anyone tried this? How does it work?
It's possible that someone will create an illegal X-Box emulator and Munche's Oddysee ROM, but there's currently no LEGAL way to play on PC.
X-Box have an exclusive contract for the next few games, so just like me you'll have to be disapointed at not having an expensive console, Hoosier Daddy.
Thanks for the replies. Is an emulator really illegal?
I will be buying a legit copy of the game.
I found a couple X-box emulators online, but they mostly seem geared for Halo. (which is now available on PC)
I guess if the next few Oddworl games are going to be X-box exclusive, maybe I should break down and buy one. (Although that's just what Micro$oft wants!) They are down to about $150 now.
Here in Ireland, I'm sure X-Box's are still over 200euros.
Actualy, I don't think emulators are illegal, but they might be. As long as you own the game, you are allowed personal back-up ROM's (I think) but you'll need to prove that it's from your copy and not some on-line download.
It is possible to play MO on a PC legaly, but it's too tricky to be pratical.
That's a pity it won't be made for the PC, seems a bit ironic it wasn't made for the PS2 in the first place following the first Oddworld Series Games on PS1. W00t, first post here, hi everyone, the forum finally decided to let me register
