I shure hope that theres a secret herd of meeches in MO, that would be cool, what would you like to see in MO? Personally i'd love to play that Asteriods type thang Lorne talked about in Next Gen.

Hopefully there'll be Meeches, Sidequests (like in FF, love'm), I'm really looking forward to the RPG aspect of the game and learning lots of new things about Oddworld.

A secret herd of Meeches kinda reminds me of a science fiction book once I read where there was a prehistoric land down a cavern or something (no, not Jurassic Park or anything like that).

Meeches to me just seem to conjure up the thought of a prehistoric creature, that in their day were rulers of the Oddworld wild.

And I agree w/ Pacen... I too look forward to the RPG aspect of Munch's Oddysee as I am a fan of RPG games... but also the fact that the game will be so replayable... and that one decison earlier in the game can make the effect later on different.

ARGH! Sorry Abe Babe, although the RPG aspect will also be something to look forward to, I actually meant RTS(Real Time Strategy). Although (I think) the RTS part of the game isn't very long (it may be, I don't really know), it will be interesting to see how OWI handle the concept and could possibly give us an idea of how Hand of Odd will be.

According to the brochure that Oddworld Inhabitants released for E3 2000, the game will be "a seamless synthesis of action, adventure, role-playing, strategy & simulation genres in one single game".

I guess I'm just looking forward to the game as a whole... regardless of what genre's it includes... it's Oddworld!

i always imagined meeches as kinda like hunting dogs for mudokons. i don't know where i got the idea, but it was before i even saw that production pic, which seems to confirm them as carnivorous, at least.
