What kind of message is America sending to the rest of the world?

Quite frankly, I see elections are a sort of health reading for our entire nation. As the quality of the front runners go, so does the nation. If anyone else feels this way, I hope that you are as afraid for this nation as I am. Think about it: The nominees for president are our way of giving the big thumbs-up to someone. Its tantamount to saying that this nominee is part of America's best and brightest. Now think about it: Who do we have as front runners? A half-wit of an illegitamate president who lied to persuade us to violate TWO countries and nearly choked to death on a pretzel. On the other hand, we have Kerry, an oddball, flip-flopping adulterer who looks like Treebeard from the LOTR movies. You know what the message America is sending? Here it is: Hi, we're America, and we suck! See these to crappy opponents? This is the best we can do. Sorry, but we blow."

Well, there is no message given out for anything to do with your politics or president-nominees. So:
:
See these to crappy opponents?
no, we dont see any opponents, were more interested in our own countires politics, I believe.

'who lied to persuade us to violate TWO countries'

Two? What is the second one? And besides, who cares that Iraq got invaded. He got rid of Saddam Hussein.

'an oddball, flip-flopping adulterer who looks like Treebeard from the LOTR movies.'

Again, who cares?! So what if he looks like a Treebeard and cheats on his wife/fiancé/girlfriend. If it happens in his personal life then why should you even be bothered?

Two? I think going after Al Queda in Iran was justified. They blew up our bloody World Trade Center for crying out loud! I do think Bush should've concentrated on Iran more, instead of going to Iraq...but I think it's a good thing that we got rid of Saddam. Although, false reports of WMD's is what doesn't settle well with me...That a president would exagerate intelligence to get his agenda supported.

Kerry looks like Treebeard but unfortunately he doesn't act like him. He's a pussy who never keeps his word.

Bush went to war in Afghanistan to overthrow religious fanatics and to capture Osama. Less than a year after this wasteful war a government was fighting for power that was even more repressive than the Taliban and Bush staff and even Bush himself admitted that OBL wasn't a top priority. Which makes me scratch my head because OBL is one of the most dangerous terrorists out there and he was about half the reason for the war in Afghanistan. And just because one war might have been needed that doesn't mean I should give a Bush a free pass on Iraq. Oh, and why aren't people worried about Kerry's year-long affair with a twenty-something intern? As I recall this was an impeachable offense when Clinton did it. So lets see, get head and jiz on a dress=impeach. Have a sordid year-long affair with an intern nearly 30 years your junior=being an upstanding man who is presidential material. Potentially having an indecisive skank-pronger as president is nothing for me to be worried about or ashamed over?

My dad and I were having this same discussion a couple days ago. Our two top runners are shitheads. Of course, someday, someday we'll get a real president again. Another great one. But until then, we deal with what we got.

Hell we went to war for a just cause. The bottom line is we had to remove a possible threat and Saddam was a threat. And don't tell me again that oh at one time we supported Saddam. Ok mybe we did a long time ago but he wasn't a threat then. Hell we supported Stylan during World War II and he became the enamy in the cold war. Saddam now is today the enamy. He dident have weapons of mass destruction your absolutely right on that notion but he sure had the capabilties to develope them and we got him before he was able to. So take that you Saddam lovers! I laugh at everybody because nobody sees the obvious. Because you ever think that up until the time before the war even with the inspectors Saddam secretly was hideing them in another country? You ever think that maybe there is a chance that Saddam had spies? And the spies were giveing him information that his country will be inspected by US officials for nuclear weapons? I believe in a last resort of the enemy they simply hid the weapons in another country way way before the time of the inspections. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if the weapons pop up in another country within the next year or so. You watch and see what happens I can almost guarantee that we're going to find them sooner or later and surprise surprise there hidden in another country. Then what are you going to say? He dident have weapons Blah blah blah Blah! Over and over again with the same arguement.

'As I recall this was an impeachable offense when Clinton did it.'

To be honest i didn't see why people got uppity with Clinton either. What has his personal, private life got to do with his political life?

'Hell we supported Stylan during World War II and he became the enamy in the cold war.'

Stalin. Not Stylan. Please try and spell important political figures correctly, it's mightily important. Besides, Stalin was a God, so clever and ruthless. Shame he, like Hitler, got corrupted by the power he wielded.

'So take that you Saddam lovers!'

You're like my mother in the sense that just because people disagreed with going to war with Saddam and taking him from power, you immediatly think we like him and want him to stay in power. Thats not the case.

Screw STALIN. Saddam was an evil man. So what? Under certain theological tenets it is assumed that all mankind is evil. Mass graves? Please. Sudan, Ivory Coast, and Rwanda, anyone. There were plenty of people killed in those countries but you don't see America getting in their business. Why? Because they don't have oil and they didn't make "Poppy" look like a jackass. The War in Iraq was about oil and the money that could be made from it and avenging Dubya's dad. Period.

I agree. Saddam was a sidenote that Bush used to appeal the idea of war to zee public. Anyone who thinks Bush went to Iraq just to liberate the Iraqi people are blind to the truth.

Exactly, which is why the mass genocide is still going on in Sudan. Perhaps they should go and get in their business...
