Wired GroundHog's Day!

Well Febuary 2nd is GroundHog's Day. Do you think Punxsutawney Phil is going to see his shadow? What do you predict is going to happen, 6 more weeks of winter or an early Spring? And then we will see what happens in a week! yay! In the mean time you give your weather forcast through this poll. And don't forget to check back here on GroundHog's Day and get the official forcast from Punxsutawney Phil himself. Ok I am bored but thats probabaly the only thing happening now.

I am actually in the mood to watch that movie right now.
I always get in the mood to watch GroundHog's Day around this time of year since the holiday is comming up. It all takes place in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania every Febuary 2nd. And what it is, is that the whole town of Punxsutawney celebrates this one day out of the year. What happens is that the Ground Hog named Punxsutawney Phil comes out of his burrow and if he sees his shadow it means we have 6 more weeks of winter and if he doesnt see his shadow we get an early spring. Its obvieusly a myth but its a fun little holiday we have here in America. Rent the movie Ground Hog's Day. Its helerious. Bill Murry stars in it and he relives Febuary 1st over and over again until he can get someone he likes to love him. Its a funny movie.

Thats all it is and its considered a holiday here in the US. Some people use a Hedge Hog or a Bear but nothing compares to Punxsutawney Phil The Ground Hog.

I hope to God we get an early spring but I live in Wisconsin and Phil has a track record of 2 things. Being a liar and screwing me over with 6 weeks of winter. You think England is cold? Check out Two Rivers! We live about half a mile from Lake Michigan and its colder than f!@#!!!

Same for me here in Ohio its been in the single digits and below 0 with wind chill and snow ice everything. And its been like this all month. This past week we were hit by a huge winter storm that droped freezing rain, sleet, Ice, and then droping below 0 and dumping over 3 ft of snow. Its horrible! When we were getting ice my car was incased in 2 inches of ice.

I remember those days. I used to live in Indiana, so I know what real cold is like. Also, when I moved to Cali, I lived in the mountains for 4 years. Snowstorms, hail...the works. Right now I live in central California, so winter here gets 40 degrees at the lowest. It's really foggy today.

Well it kind of sucked this year. We had no real snow or good winter/christmas weather as I call it. But as soon as January rolled around the entire county and towns, etc., have been still covered with lots of snow, and been colder than any time during december. Right now it still continues to snow, its late but I still like it.

Ah, hell no. I'm getting tired of having to wear a jacket all the time. It get's down below freezing sometimes, at other's it hangs around 40/50 F. About 2 weeks ago, it was around 75 or so for a weekend. Never any snow though. Cold, breezy and rain every once and a while but no snow.

Then again, in spring, it always gets uber humid after raining. Then summer brings the lovely, air pollution level purple, 100+ F days of summer. Then tornados all the time in fall. Then back to winter, with freakishly unpredictable weather. God damnit Dallas sucks.

On a lighter note, I watched most of Groundhog's Day today. Good movie, good movie. I wish I could relive a day over and over again, and gain uber talents while doing it.

Even though Phil saw a shadow you will probably get an early spring anyway, and how can he predict if he is just a groundhog? There has been loads of Phils, and could all of them really predict the seasons?
