Meeches: The Extinction.

I was wondering about this the other day. Does anybody have any background detail on the Meech species? What was their natural habitat... Were they pack animals, like Paramites? Where were they in the foodchain alongside Mudokons, Paramites, Scrabs etc? If nobody knows, we could just have a jolly old ponder.

I don't know, and I don't know what you mean by ponder (especially when you say "jolly old").

But I wouldn't mind betting that meeches used to eat stuff like slurgs, fleeches, and proberbly the odd Elum. I wouldn't be surprised if it even took on a couple of Paramites.

Yeah...

I guess they would eat slurgs and fleeches, possibly Paramites, though you never know they could be herbivores!

Well, looking at a picture of them, they kinda look like the type of animal to tear their prey apart.

Elums appear to generally be calm creatures. Even vegetarian, I'll have to throw some meat at Elum in AO to test that theory. Anyway, I doubt Meeches would have any trouble, especially in packs to hunt down and kill an Elum.

Basically all we know is what we have been told, and what is rumoured.

There are no points in AO where you can throw meat at Elum, Alcar. Elum is in the Paramonian forest, while meat sacks only appear in the Paramonian temple (and selected secret areas within RuptureFarms).

And Lorne did say that Meeches hunt Elums in large packs. He also said they have four jaws, although in the single picture we have of one I can only count three.

You've saved me from playing the game and figuring it out. Hail Max!

I have a very good geographical memory of the Oddworld games. I'd say that was quite sad, but in fact I've done nothing to memorise them, so 'tain't my fault.

I don't realy think they are related to Scrabs, they don't have any common point

Well from what I've gathered Meeche's most likely roamed the Deserts of Oddworld (Although they could have just as well been spread in alittle of everywhere like the Elum.), as its been said they hunted in packs and preyed particularly on Elum. To me they kinda symbolize the Raptor of Earth; fast, stealthy, and efficent.

Well, hopefully there will be more information about meeches in the next game, probably not though.

All we can do is wait! Anyone know any information on the next game?
