Question a quick question

how do you find out the speed of your CD or DVD drive my DVD drive is busted and i want to know the speed of my CD R drive

I'm usually good at finging this sort of crap, but I'm sorry I can't help you there. Mine says it's speed on the front of it.
Well if it is a CD R drive, then try going to the program you use to burn, and see what the maximum speed you can write at is. For mine, that is the same as my read speed.
My only other suggestion is running a search on Google, or finding a forum where nerds run wild and free.

If you know the model number (it should be on it), just do a search on that model number through Google or the website of the manufacturer and they should tell you the specs on there.
