Chapter 6
I had a strange dream that night. I lot of strange white ghostly shapes seemed to bustle around in a large place. They were surrounded by huge up pointing shadows. I presumed it to be a city. The shadows were buildings and the shapes that I couldn’t make out I presumed to be Khanzumerz, Sligs, Glukkons, Chroniclers, Shrivellers and other industrial city folk.
They continued to move around until my view of the strange place moved and singled out one lone being. It was of course, impossible to make out who or what it was.
Of course, as these things go I was abruptly awoken before anything worthwhile happened in the dream.
It appeared to be in the middle of the night.
“Jim! Are you awake?” said a frantic Ben.
“Yes” I said rubbing my eyes.
“Well come on then!” He said dragging me out of the Elum pen and round the corner.
Everyone else was already there.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, scratching my head.
“They’re coming, …” said Scar-eye.
“Who is?” I asked.
Before any of them could answer my question an image from the chip flashed into my mind. A whole army of Sligs were marching through the Lines. Big Bro’s, flying, Normal, some in tanks but they were all equipped with lots of powerful weaponry. They had come for me.
“Jim! Don’t worry about your friends. They are an inevitable part of your story. The Magog are after all of you now. There is no turning back. Just get out of there now!” Said Rob.
“Lets go!” I cheered.
We mounted the Elum we had found. Scar-eye was on one with Ash. Ben and Nat were on another. Dac had one to himself, as did Leo.
I mounted Bill. Bill and me would go through a lot by the time my story was over.
“We all ready?” yelled Ben.
“Yes!” We all yelled back.
“Lets go then!” Said Scar-eye.
He and Ben raced forward on their Elum.
“Hang on!” cried Dac.
“We don’t even know where we’re going!” said Leo.
“Where exactly are we going?” asked Nat.
I spoke for Ben and Scar-eye.
“To the nearest Magog City”
“And where’s that?” asked Ash.
Scar-eye stepped forward in front of us all.
“It’s a big City. In fact it’s one of the largest and most dangerous cities on Mudos. Syclonia.”
“What do you mean dangerous?” asked Nat.
“Big businesses, Back stabbing Glukkons, Evil money grabbing Chroniclers, Several street gangs. It’s not a nice place to be out at night but the Industrialists thrive there,” He answered.
I somehow knew then that Syclonia was the place I would find some answers for my problems. And find a lot of new problems as well.
“Syclonia is south of the Lines. It’s quite a journey, It’ll take a few days.” Said Scar-eye.
We began to ride away from the lines. I waved goodbye to caves, as did the others except Ben and Scar-eye.
A lot of moons were in the sky. The biggest was the Mudokon Paw one. I held up my paw and smiled. Some of the others held up their paws as well.
“Magog Cartel better look out, eh!” I laughed.
The others nodded and chatted away but my mind wandered back to the ghostly figure and I wondered what it could all mean…
