What makes Oddworld Odd!

Lets make a grand list of all the things that make Oddworld such an Odd place. What are the odd things that make Oddworld Odd?

1. I think it is the enviorments. I mean you got some pretty strange looking landscapes in the games.

2. The fact that there are signes everywhere that tell you what to do and what not to do.

What else makes Oddworld Odd?

Maybe the fact that its a warped version of our society, having evil multiplied, problems increased and good things in severe lack?

Abe possessing his farts. Or maybe that's gross. Or maybe both.

The overall concept of EVERYTHING in Oddworld being somehow linked with our world.

1. the taylored suits that Glukkons wear
2. the concept of pollution and wasting materials
3. the way Glukkons tend to look the other way when resources are being used up. (i.e. the RF incodent when Paramites and Scrabs were going extinct and the Muds were the doomed to be the next big thing in processed meat)
4. The amount of slang terms used as common lingo in Oddworldian language
5. The fact that everyone that can speak speaks English.
6. the Flying Slig's masks (WWII fighter pilot masks)
7. Beer being one of the best sellers on the planet.
8. Speaking of addiction, does anyone knotice that the Glukkon Cigars look EXACTLY like Earth cigars?
9. the Newspapers, blurry western photographs, and all-around Olde West feel of AE? Well, okay. The Newspapers are from MO, but you get the idea.
10. That nut Newscaster, and just how the Press Confrence scenes look.

Oddworld is somehow linked with us. Or maybe, Earth is the one linked with them and Oddworld is one big copycat.

I just enjoy the familiarity I get when I return to Oddworld. In the game.

odd, what do you call odd? I think oddworld is completely Normal yep, normal. with all the landscapes, the industry, the rivalry, the alchohl, the inhabitants, the elements, the natives, the whole world of oddworld is normal!

The characters are the real stars of each game. They have so much personality in their appearences alone.

To me, Oddworld is normal

and Earth is ODD!

Seriously, all the oddworld creatures make sense to me, they have adapted to their environment.

Now humans, we are some freak hairless mistake.

But just the way everything acts on Oddworld can be Odd. For instance the way Mudokins sneak in and out of shadows looks very odd. I mean a Mudokin sneak is rather funny looking. Even how all the Mudokins look alike is odd. The sounds of Oddworld are rather strange too. You don't hear those wierd chirping sounds here as you would on Oddworld.

The way everything is so elusive On Oddworld makes it Odd.

There are so many varables that Make Oddworld stick out in being odd that the relationship of earth and Oddworld is odd in its own way. But there is a fine difference with Oddworld and Earth.

Oddworld is not odd. It is actualy very sane.
The only odd thing about it are the mudokons. They are a bit silly.
