banning for spamming

Alright people. We all know that spamming can be a little obnoxious at times but the fact is that this is a forum where all of the members are very respectfull of not taking up too much time or space with nonsense. Everyone of us here has posted something that could be considered spam at one time or another. We are a close knit community of people who know each other fairly well and every once in a while without thinking about we will respond to a post just as we would a conversation. We may make a joke or say something off topic. The real issue here is that some people (alcar) have decided that they are more important in this community then others. Grig the slig who is one of the finest members that these forums have ever seen has been banned after one warning. This shows more what kind of person Alcar is then it does serve as punishment. Don't take yourself so seriously bro. Nothing is that serious. You are proving yourself to be hatefull, vindictive and big headed. I personally think that you enjoyed banning Grig. I am going to continue posting on this until you let him back in. I dare you to ban me. Not only would that be a sissy act but it would prove that I am right about your spitefull nature. Prove me wrong. Be the bigger man and let him back in.

*claps for old and not so tasty* I personally don't know Alcar, so I can't make a judgement on him, but I think banning someone after one warning is just silly.

Please respond to this people. Put down feelings about me and alcar and look at this objectively. One of the moderators is a glukkon. This is a small form of tyranny that should not be tolerated by us. Please respond whether you agree with me or not.

i was discusing this "abuse of his modship powers" thing with alcar earlier today on oddchat and said just what you said old and not so tasty, and he just said "thats my job" which i find terrible!

I used to know Alcar better and he seemed like a very decent fellow. I don't know why he banned Grig so I can't say he was wrong. But I also know that Grig, from what I could tell, was a very good member who never intentionally broke the rules. I can't think of any reasons that would justify Grig's bannishment. In any case, Grig should be let back.

BTW, you have been a bit big headed Alcar, I'm just letting you know for your own good. I've been recently accused of the same thing so I know that it sucks when people feel that way about you.

I just get really annoyed at people who abuse their power, and Alcar banning Grig for two bloody weeks over spam is rediculous! And I only saw one warning from Xav! Something has to be done. I think Alcar had fun banning, and that just isn't right. Mods shouldn't get a kick outta banning anyone. Banning is supposed to be used as a last resort for continued trouble. Grig's spam was harmless and I wouldn't qualify him as a trouble maker. Bring him back! I haven't even seen Grig use one explitive for crying out loud!

He's not a bad guy at all!

Or as soon as possible. We seriously need to rethink our leadership. By the way I would have started this thread a lot sooner if I had known about this. *checks* Actually, Alcar supposedly also sent him a warning via pm. *ticks off fingers* 1, 2... The warning/ban system is suppose to use 3 counts, or something. *looks at amount of fingers held up*

I don't know, maybe I'll get some sort of formula in Algebra II this year to teach me how to solve this.

Jesus Christ people, he is in a state of " Temporary Banning" he has not been banned indefinately. Like our rules say, we only ban people forever if the offence is really bad.

Grid was due for unbanning tomorrow, but I think I'll keep him banned indefinately, now, due to you all. Just kidding. He will be unbanned as planned tomorrow.

You're all acting so immature, it wasn't after one warning either. I'd warned him through PM, and then Xavier had to warn him. Then he spammed again, three strikes and you are banned accordingly.

I feel better now. This was just the most exciting thing on the forums for the moment. I personally haven't been dictated, but I haven't been here long and others seem to feel dictated, so it must be a real issue. This isn't just one person, I've talked to a bunch of members that feel this way.

Mac, I see you edited your post so fast that it didn't register you changed anything. Don't you just love broadband! Darnnit! I didn't move fast enough! I have done that before though.

I've been here a little over a year now, and although there are many members that have been here much longer, this is actually the first time anyone's really brought up this whole dictator Alcar thing. At least, as far as I can remember.

I think people are just judging him on only this little fiasco, and completely ignoring everything else. Although, if you can prove me wrong and name some other "horrible" things Alcar has done, I may retract my statement. But as far as I know, he's been nothing but good and attentive to the forums.

EDIT: Oddguy, all I did to my post when I edited it was add "I agree 100% with what Mr. Boj said above", because I read his post after I had posted my...post.

But that's weird that it didn't put that "Last edited..." thing on the bottom...
