I was scared of people dressed up in those ridiculous outfits, too. My last encounter with one was only a few years ago, and I wasn't really enthralled by it. I had to shake Woody's hand, hmph. Heh, he put his hands on his hips in disappointment because it was such a halfhearted handshake, lol!

And anything paranormal used to scare me into hysterics.

And spiders, crane flies and the like.

Well, my old house was definately haunted. Especially after we moved out we had never talked about what any of us saw or expirienced in that house until then. Anyways, that scared me a lot when I was younger. My parents told me that I would just scream out in the night, and had night terrors that I could not awake from until morning. My older brothers had similar problems too, not screaming out but horrible nightmares, and saw things moving. Anyways that was when all of us were very young, I was only about four or five at the time. Though I dont really like to talk about that, because we later found out in fact, two people died in that house years before we ever moved in.

Then for so long still there was a statue in the basement, that always gave me nightmares, sometimes it would come and kill me in my dreams, or torture me, or just chase me.

For a while I was really scared as Max also said about paranormal things, ghosts, aliens, etc. Now I enjoy reading up on that stuff, and enjoy learning more about those types of things. Adding on that fact when I was younger, I was always scared of the movie Ghost Busters 2 (which I did like even though I was scared), mainly because the painting of Vigo for some reason also gave me nightmares.

Then other things that sometimes still scare me, Spiders, hornets & wasps(not really bees though).

My oldest brother has his own room, and my other brother and I share a room. For some reason I still close the closet door, and bathroom door completely, even if they are just a bit open I make sure they are completely closed. To this date I dont know why I still do that.

We used to have this game, where you have some pictures and some chips, and when you heard the sound on the tape you had to place a chip on the corresponding pic. There was one with a lion, and it had a really scary expression. So I never wanted that card, and memorised after which sound the lion's roar came, so I could cover my ears...

I would always cry when I played with my Spin N' Say because the elephant sounded like someone was hurting him.

And clowns. I was scared of clowns ever since I saw Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

I've always been scared of bugs (especially spiders), dentists and doctors. I was afraid of the closet in my old room because the door never stayed closed and it squeeked so loud it woke me up when it opened itself. And there was a TV in there that I just couldn't stand. I started to cry every time I saw it. And our old tractor, because the lights on it looked like eyes and I was convinced that when I went past it, it would come alive and chase me.

I was a very easily scared kid.

The dark, obviously. Honestly, other childhood fears don't make much sense but this one does. You don't know what kind of creepy, murderous bastard is hiding, waiting to... well use your overly fertile imagination! Crane flies get killed like that...but some otherworldly beastie in the basement is unbeatable.

Very simply, I feared the dark. Anything can be hidden in the dark, and it could pounce at any moments notice.

Dolls.
Not dolls like Barbie or whatever, but those one and they are about the size of a baby.
Unblinking, demonic creatures of hell, dolls are.
After I saw Child's Play, I couldn't stand near beds. I was either away from them or on top of them. Do you know how many killer dolls could fit under a bed.
Dolls still scare me a bit.

Well I had a few things I was afraid of when I was a wee little lad!

First was this dried up plant in my Dentists office because I remember one time I must of brushed up against it and at the time I was 4 years old. When it shook I thought it was alive and it was going to eat me

Then I had a fear of Bubbles for a little bit. I don't know why but I did. I guess I thought they were little envadeing bugs.

And then when I was 3 a Golden Retriever came up to me and at 3 thats like a horse. When that happened I became afraid of dogs for a long time afterwards even when I got a little older but I can say I got out of that fear now and I don't mind dogs but big and rough ones I tend to stay away. Thats one fear I can say stuck with me for a while. Another one is Bees or Wasps. I hate em still today.

And lastly I had a fear of peer silence at night. The result of that is that today I tend to listen to the radio when I sleep or always haveing something on so I have a little sound. when I was little I was scared of silence now I concentrait better with sound. I am not scared of peer silence anymore its just I like to listen to sounds a lot.

I'm still terrified of lobsters to this day. Vile little creatures with their cold black eyes, disgusting, twitchy mouth parts, and STD-esque shell.

Ick.

I was also scared of Morla from the never ending story [the giant, crazy, constantly sneezing tortoise], Whatever was in my closet, and the aparent poltregeist in our old house.

Lobsters still creep me out. As does my closet when the light is on inside and the door is closed. Maybe it's because my room is pitch black at night [you can't even see your own body..] and the little sliver of flourescent light creeping out from under the door gives the illusion that something is inside, waiting to come out.

I also hated, well, still do, being home alone at night, thinking you hear someone, saying 'hello?' and then getting nothing but silence in return. It makes me feel like someone IS there...but now they know that I know, and they're going out of their way to be quiet.

I used to be scared of the end of my bed. I always thought there were crabs there or something.
And when I was like, 10 or something, I saw the movie Beetlejuice. I really liked it because I was a fan of the cartoon but at night I always thought Beetlejuice would come and get me and throw me to the Sandworms

I wondered that too until I realised it was 'pure silence'. I decided against going on about paramiteabe going to a boarding school, though.

And DI, what do you mean by a STD-esque shell? What is it about a lobster shell that makes it a sexually transmitted disease?

Spiders. I used to be terrified of spiders, no matter how small they were. Now I've partially gotten over my arachnophobia, but big spiders still scare me. Uuuugh. *shudder* Most bugs don't bother me though. Strange looking worms do however.

And I'm also terrified of strong winds. They scare me out of my skin.

Their shells just remind me of herpes. Maybe it's the color and small bumps.

I don't know, really. It probably has something to do with the slides we were shown in Sex ED in the sixth grade. You know, of genitalia plagued with std's.

Does anyone know that old show on ABC called "Dinosaurs"?

With the Sinclair family: Earl and Fran, and the baby and Robby and that other girl nobody remembers? Oh, and "NOT DA MAMMA!"

They had a creature called the Swamp Monster. It was on the top of the food chain and it had these huge teeth. I would always get nervous when the family made its way into the swamp.

I haven't seen that show in years, but by now, I'd probably just laugh at the poor excuse for a monster...after seeing Molluck, that is.
