Steef's release date!

Steef's release Date is going to be in December of 2004 It listed it in one of those links to Xfactor. I am not quite sure which one though I will post it later my computer is slow at the moment for some reason today. By the way shouldn't we start opening up the spoiler section? In the last two days we started getting a lot information on the next game. I honstly think we should open up the spoiler again since now we are getting news.

well sounds... like we have more then 1 year to wait.
anyway it's surprising because in the faq they said early 2004, and this sounds like end 2004

I hope it's earlier then that... Xbox 2 will be around the corner. It looks like Xbox will only have gotten two oddworld games.

They said prefably early 2004. Things change of course it was only an estamate. Even December might not be the time. It might be earler than that. Below it still said TBD To Be Determined.

So take this as a grain of sand at the moment. Ok I copied the information from the website and posted it here so you can view what I saw. Now remember it will probabaly change. It is still in its early stages of development so I wouldn't hold your hats on this one quite yet. Until OWI says when it will be then it will be official.

The thing I am looking at is Released December 30th Now is it me or does that sound past tense? Could it be a typo error because December 2004 has not come yet? Duh! But really whats up with that?

Thats a pretty long time to wait but thats what it says. I hope its earlier than that. But we don't know whats going to happen in a year. A lot can happen in a year of course.

I hope it isn't that long ... I hate long waits! Although I'm used to them, and if Oddworld need that amount of time, then so be it. But they did indicate late 2003/early 2004 in their FAQs.

I don't think we need to open up the spoiler section just yet. A spoiler is something that spoils the storyline ... before a game is released you are never given spoilers, but you are instead given teasers, to get you interested in the game and characters, and to find out what the storyline will be about, but not the result. But if you want to put up a poll in the suggestions forum, please do so, and we'll see what people think.

Oh, I disagree, I think you can have spoilers before a game is released. I'm referring, of course, to Abe's Exoddus, where practically all the reviews and previews went on about the whole Mudokon tear extraction plot device. And of course when you actually got the game it came as no surprise, even though the way the manual, game and video were designed clearly indicated that it was meant to be. I guess a similar thing could be said for Munch, but that was probably more due to gross-overhype.

Not that I think the Spoiler Forum should be opened just yet, but as long as it's on everyone's mind when it needs to be opened.

I sure hope it is released in early 2004. Concerning the spoiler forum, I think it should be reopened one or two months before the game is released.

OWI put a lot into the games they develop, so I'm comfortable with as long a release date as is possible to make sure it is a quality game. (and to tweak the controls, which I hope they do) So I'm

wow, now that i know of Steef, this is exciting. A whole new character separate of Abe and MUnch....crazy!

I know it is exciting its like AO all over again. We are finally getting something very different and most certainly original for its type of game. OWI said we are going to be surprised with this and that it will be a very different game but original in its nature like how we felt when we saw AO for the first time. And what we have seen so far I am sure all of us are really surprised I am surprised. And just think thats probabaly not even half of the juicy stuff ya know? Like what is Steef suppose to be? Does he have special abilities like Abe and Munch? And if so what does he do? Is he part of a disappearing race at the bottom of the food chain on the brink of extinction? He looks as if he is being hunted. Could his race be a race that is hunted for Moolah or profit? And if so what kind of industrial races are we going to see in StO? So many question come to mind with this new game. I say OWI should take all the time they need. We want a great game.

Steef's Oddysee, I'm talking future tense, when the game get's released. It doesn't look like they will have time to release another game before Xbox 2. If it get's released early 2004 it probably would.

so according to PA's release dates we have to wait another year and a half for the next game!! what the ****! no way im waitin that long, i hope the FAQs still go unchanged in it's earlier release date, a year or half a year maybe....but a year and a half!? i might aswell shoot myself with a pez dispenser, by the time the game comes out, i'll be dead from all the pez.
