Alf Chat at Oddchat

Hello OWF members, This is a Oddchat announcement regarding a special night when Alf from OWI will come over to answer questions

This will be a completely Oddworld related chat day when Alf comes to speak with us.The date is set for Alf to arrive at Oddchat on November First 5:30 pm p.s.t This is were Alf will answer Oddworld related questions. It is a special thing Alf is doing for us fans so please make time to be on Oddchat for this event. If the turn outs are good Alf will continue this monthly.

So please come and join us on Oddchat, November First

p.s.t? Is that the same time zone as Washington? I'll have to figure out exactly when this is so I can join in.

Alf's a nice mud, this should be fun as long as we can avoid spammers.

Nate_dog_woof, PST stands for Pacific Standard Time; The GMT equivalent would be 5:30pm + 8 hours, so it would be 2:30am November 2nd.

GMT: I am not sure, honestly the only info I was given was really 5:30. Sorry, but still you should look out for that day and come. I know the regualrs will be there for it. If you have the time just check in there, as early as you can.

If i'm correct, please tell me if i'm wrong as I don't want to miss this! But would that be 10:30am November 2nd for me considering my +8 hours from GMT for Australia?

Guess what Operators! This means we can use those cool voice and moderation features, like the previous OWI - OWF oddchats!

How did this come about? It's been a long time since we have had any kind of OddChat, and I've always wanted to have one again, but I don't like asking OWI as it's not really my place.

I am sure I can be there, as it will be a weekend and no work to worry about!

Although can I please have my OddChat Operator status restored? For some reason it is gone and I have lost all of my privlages.

Pacific Standar Time? I think that's what I'm in so the time should be pretty easy for me.

And Jacob you are probably right. My guess is it will be really hectic with everyone trying to ask stupid guestions that they already know Alf won't be allowed to answer. I just hope Alf dosn't get scared away to quick.

My only advice for you Max is to go to bed really early. Ok so 5: 30? dose anyone know what time that would be E.S.T? (Eastern Standered Time)?

Edit- Oh, and I'd just like to thank Kai for putting this together for us and Alf for agreeing to it and actually taking the time to answer out questions.

Let me just quickly explain how this came about. Alf visits Oddchat once in awhile, I and he thought it would be a good idea if he came monthly, to do a short Alf chat where you ask him Oddworld related questions. He said he would love to do this, and would get back to me on it later. Sure enough he did, and now on the First of November he will do it. The chatroom will be controled, and made so that everyone has a chance to ask Alf questions orderly. This is how it all came along. Note this will only be monthly if it turns out okay.

And that's why the chat will be moderated!

Which means, only Alf and the Admins/Operators will be able to speak, in order to get your question in you'll have to send a Person to Person message with the question in it.

I'm sure that's how it was done before, I wouldn't know though as I only had the chance of going to one, and missed it because of a stupid firewall.

But, there is no way i'm missing out on this one!

Good news everyone. I've discussed the matter with my cat, and it looks like it should be possible for me to turn up.

I work out 8 hours more than 5:30pm to 1:30am, not 2:30. Urg, time zones are confusing. So what is it?
