Feature Article Writer wanted for Oddworld-Web

Oddworld-Web currently has a staff position available for someone who is interested in writing feature articles. The person ideally should have a high knowledge of Oddworld and good writing skills. We would be looking for them to write an article every 1-2 months on anything to do with Oddworld (theories, speculation, species, it's up to you). No HTML skills are required, as this would be handled by Oddworld-Web. If you are interested in applying, please email info@oddworld.au.com or reply to this thread.

As part of being a staff member of the main Oddworld fansite on the web, recognition will be given to you as the writer of the articles, as well as your own oddworld.au.com email address (email forwarded to your current email account).

Please only apply if you are serious about doing this and will not get sick of it in a few months time.

That sounds interesting, I will think about it. I Have alot of things going on at the moment, with the OIPT, I really don't see the time for it right now. When would you like this person to start service? Anyway like I said I will think about it.

I would like to considered for this job. I have sent you a PM with some questions.

I think I would do a great job as my knowledge of oddworld is very high and my writing skills are advanced for my age. I would love to right up educated reports on various theories, Magog Cartel business workings, creatures, etc...

Woah, Max, you really did earn your rep as the encyclopaedia.

He can do darned good oddworld sketches too. He should help them with concept art.

Yes Max did earn his title of Oddworld Encyclopedia. He is way learned in all things odd. He would have done a good job with this but I think a better use of his time would be finishing his long-awaited oddworld encyclopedia website.

Hmm, sounds interesting I'll be willing to do it but only if you decide not to choose Khanz ( he dose know more than me about Oddworld and has much better wrighting skills).

Kai would also be good for this job as well as some others but I don't wanna nominate them if its gonna make thier jobs on the fourms harder.

Ah yes, Ask Max at Oddworld Universe. I'm still getting emails, but I can't reply to them, because there's some demon in the works of OWU. I sent Pete a doo-hickey about it, but he never replied. Perhaps I'd better sort that out.

And The Oddworld Encyclopedia (TOE) is getting there, I promise. Just slowly, that's all. I've got a week's holiday now, with no homework, so who knows?

I dont think it should be situated around one writer. As that is quite a hefty thingy...i think there should be one main writer but others whom contribute every-so-often. Or guest writers...

That's actually a good idea Jacob. But it dosn't really seem like that big of a job to me. One article a month? As long as they have enough facts about what they are writing about, and have an imagination, it should be no problem for whoever they chose to write on article every four weaks.

I have received a good response so far and am near making my decision ... please stay tuned.

I also think that Jacob's idea is a good one, and actually only yesterday I was talking to a friend and the subject came up. She has already offered to be a kind of "Slig Expert" for Oddworld-Web. So for those who applied and do not get the position, I would always be willing to take submissions from guest writers, providing the article they write is relevant and shows knowledge of Oddworld.

I couldn't possibly be relied upon to be a full-time member of staff (unless I quit school, of course), but I'd love to contribute as often as I can.
