Your worst job

Hello everyone. If you have worked, what is your worst job you have done. Or if you have not worked what do you think would be the worst job to do.

My worst job was folding envelopes for work experience. It was really boring and repetititive. I think the worst job would be cleaning toilets. That would be horrible especially if they are discugsting, and I do not want to go there!!!!!!!!

Thank odd I don't work yet. Well not yet that is. It would be funny to find me working in...........I don't know some really cheap lame job, like a dish washer. Now thats just scary

I think the worst job is working at fast food outlets which they fry chips cause your hand always gets burn from the oil and its always busy.

the thing that i think that is the worst job is to work..........is propably to work at a fast food station and people call it a greassy spoon and it is it is very greasy and i bet you that you could slide from one side of the room.

the second thing that i think that could be a bad job is to be a janitor and not just any janitor but the janitor for Kamehameha schools damn they have allot of stuff to clean. did you know that Kamehameha schools is over 5 miles long and wide it cover this big mountain that has very beautyfull lookout and there will allways be that fresh mornning smell in the morring.

You want to know what a bad job is and I recomend never to apply for? That is working in a Grocery store. At first it seems like a good job but then later on down the road it begins to suck. I used to work for one and I quit in about 1 year. All grocery store managers don't know what avlabality means. They treat you like you don't know anything and act as if they are almighty. I tell ya I rather work in an office rather than being a bagger or a cashier and have to deal with people with no common sense. Ugh it makes me tremble just to even think of that job. Not for me! That is why I am seeking a job in art.

I'd think it would be looking after people, im crap at that. Ugh.

PA, thats only one grocery store.

I think the best job would be being a Lawyer. Just earning all the cash and shtuff...and having the stigma of being a Snake and really sly and shtuff...Or a Barrister QC...they earn TONNES!! More than any games designer or Artist (Literally)

Hmph. A few years ago... I always used to hang out at my Dad's work... and all the people there used to think I was one of those kids who are idiots and r always looking for something to do.. But I am NOT 1 of those kids... so anyway, they made me fold booklets... In like 200 blocks at one time... It sucked like hell!

I had to clean my room once.

PA, my brother is a bag boy. He thinks its fune, except on rare occasions where people accidently drop large glasses of cooking oil or vinegar on the floor. He says its fun getting to take plate numbers at the gas station, throwing remaining eggs from a batch, getting tips, witnessing an old 70 year old lady pass off a fake $100 bill.

Working at hot topic sucked. The people were snooty, obnoxious, and rather grating on my nerves. They all wandered around the store, fondling and groping the merch, making fun of each other, and rarely buying anything.
I had one particular customer who came to hot topic simply to pick up on 'goth chicks' [his words, not mine..] I would constantly get on the store's PA system and embarass him....for this reason alone, I was voted employee of the month three times in a row.

I still hated working there.

Working at A&W was even worse. The food stank, the air was thick, and the people were just down right rude. I was fired after I told a lady I would defecate in her milk shake if she didn't 'pipe the f*ck down and get in line like a good little sheep'.

....she was rude to everyone, came in almost everyday, and rarely waited in line...she just marched right up front, and ordered. Not only that, she would claim the new guys and gals short changed her, and me, being the assistant manager, had to go through receipts and the cash register to make sure they hadn't.

Working at the SPCA was even worse. Sure, I got to play with dogs and cats all day, but I also earned the title of 'reptile guy', and as a result, was called out for all of the reptile pick ups.....Which got me attacked by a severely agitated and mal nournished sub adult alligator being kept in an above ground swimming pool, bitten by many a snake, and led on many around the house chases trying to wrangle a loose pet.
....I was also attacked by the SPCA's resident rooster/mascot, Poppy....every day. His spurs ruined so many pairs of pants, and
sliced my legs so badly, I quit.

Working the late shift at taco bell was also pretty bad....the sitting meat, and gang of cockroaches were disgusting enough, but the constant flow of idiots at 1AM got irritating fast.

Those were all of my worst jobs...thanks for the topic.

A few years back, I was paid for cleaning up the dog crap in all of my neighbors' yards. I was consequently called "The Crap Kid" for a few months after.

A few years ago in New Zealand there was a competition to find the person with the worst job in the country. The person who won worked at a sewerage plant where he had to get in a motor boat and zoom around huge lakes of crap all day, to mix it up.

As for me, all my life I've had to fold letters into envelopes for both my parents (generally unpaid). But the worst job I've had was for my father. He's a lawyer and he had recently upgraded his computer system so he wanted me to transfer his client list from a word file to a new program he got. So first I had to compare 3 word files to make sure there were no repetitions (took about a week). Then I had to transfer each client one by one (a few thousand, took me another week). Then he decided that I should add clients in from another list he had. Every time I was close to finishing te job he changed the conditions; first I was not supposed to add in certain client, then he changed his mind, then he changed his mind again then he added a new list etc etc etc. I wasted two summers and I never actually finished it. When the last summer came round he asked me to come in but I refused.

Well maybe not all grocery stores but the one I worked at was dirty and old and I just got tired of it. I am trying to set greater standards for myself and I just think working in a Grocery store is just not for me. But yes there are good stores.

I work at KFC, it can be ok, but I hate rude customers, who blame me because some one else forgot part of there order. I also hate working closing shifts, when I get to clean the bins, toilets and other wonderful places.....
Getting burned often is also fun...

It's because it is an evil organisation. It can also be used as a very offensive swear word. As in "This food tastes like something from..."

And if we're taking about bad jobs, I just can't resist mentioning my cousin. He's had well over a dozen jobs in the last couple of years, and he's been able to keep none of them for over a month. He's so stupid, he thinks that "I got bored with that job" explains why he quit and is more truthful than "He's a lazy employee who never turns up on time and often doesn't come to work, can't operate a till machine, and we're firing him".

It's reached a stage where it's a family joke. At this rate he'll have had more jobs than Homer Simpson. Oh, and one of those jobs did include working at McDeath's.

I've only worked one job (the one I'm currently stuck in). It's okay, but it can get pretty boring at times. On one hand part of it involves working on the company's website which I really enjoy. But the part I hate is technical support. You have to sit on the phone and tell people how to install their software (and usually the people don't know anything about computers and don't listen to what you are telling them). What's worse is when you get nasty, grumpy customers. Because the company done something wrong they expect you to fix it, and then get all abusive at you. I really hate that and try to tell them to relax, but they don't seem to like that.

What's worse is that it is in the finance/investment industry, and the customers are so "money orientated". So if they lose money on the share market they are even worse. All these people care about is money and that's it. And they expect you to think the same way which I do not.

Don't get me wrong, the company I work for is a good company and the people are great (well one boss is a bit strange sometimes), but I really don't want to be stuck doing this for the rest of my life. I'll probably try to look for something new after Christmas or am thinking of moving to the US and try my luck there if I can get a green card.
