Yep thats right i heard somewhere that oddworld is going online soon.

now im ganna really have to get a xbox i wish it would come out for pc.

I hope it never happens...

I personally am not liking that every game coming out has to have some on-line features. I guess this is the "future of gaming" or whatever but on-line games don't have the charm of one-player games and how would you do an oddworld story with on-line gameplay? It doesn't compute with me unless it is with a real time strategy war game like "Hand of Odd" is supposed to be which also doesn't seem very Oddworldish to me.

It will still be a fair way off... but it is going to be Hand of Odd, for those who haven't heard of it yet. Hand of Odd is meant to be the game after Munch's Exoddus and will involve online gameplay.

You will be able to take the place of either the environmently friendly Mudokons/natives and nurture the planet, or the industrial Glukkons and expliot the planet for your own needs.

The game was meant to be the next in the series, but OWI have decided to hold off on it due to waiting until the Xbox's online capabilities become fully available.

I'm sorry, I keep saying this: there will be three sides to choose from in Oddworld: Hand of Odd (unless, of course, OWI decide to cut more stuff, which given the ammount of content that didn't make it to Munch's Oddysee, seems realistic).

an EQ (EverQuest for those that don't know) style OW game? Oh boy...sounds fun but I don't think we need an Oddcrack... (sorry...its a modifacation of the term 'EverCrack' which many EQ players refer to it as because it is such an addicting game...)

you could make an rpgoid game you could move up in ranks instead of levels (pud-glockstar native-cheiftian ect.) but then again fighting and oddworld don't really go together mabey a really wierd economic sim creating paramite pies and such then again that probably wouldn't be fun.
