Fuzzles?

You know those little fuzzy things that are in the banner for the forums, and on several OWI-released promo pics? Well, after we've seen the trailer, we know that they aren't fuzzles (fuzzles are browner, rounder, and have bigger mouths). So the question is: what are they?

There seems to be a few variations of fuzzles... if you look at some of the earlier pics they are more pink than brown.

I would say that we see the different "development" stages of a fuzzle... and also there could be fuzzles of different ages and sizes.

I was always thinking they were cool looking, colored production pics. There not the final version, because the final version of everything is CG right? They aren't CG.
