Computer problems please help

Ok my first problem is when i want to put a banner for myself, i put up the address in my profile with [img] at the front and back of the address, and when i click to update my profile, were the banner should be all i can see is the address with [img] at the front and back of it, for e.g

were banner should be:
[img] address or link of banner is here [img]

why does it do that for?

My second problem is not oddworldian forums related, when i start up my pc it says, something about windows registry checker, what is that?? It keeps restarting my pc, and it never goes away, one last thing i can no longer run scan disk, all it does it try to find to error 10 times over and tells me the problem can not be fixed, i think this is related to that windows registry checker error. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspRegistry checker.... oh no. You've got a serious problem on your hands there. It can be caused by either a corrupted Windows registry (which is most likely the case) or in a less likely case, by having your IDE interface set to a speed higher than the hard drive can support. For example, having it set to Ultra ATA/100 when the hard drive is only ATA/66. I don't expect you to know what I'm talking about, but it is a problem that needs to be looked at by a professional. I would love to fix it for you, but I doubt you'd box it up and ship it to me!

Wow that's a real bummer, will formatting my harddrive fix the problem, i could take it to a pro, but that will be just a waste of time if i can fix the problem on my own.
