Stealing Original Web Images/Text... is it right?

You see it on the web all the time... a site that uses images from another website.

I'm not meaning like generic images (like Oddworld images, although we have permission to use these). But images that you take time to create yourself, like the ones on my layout or the images for the forum, or text you have written yourself.

Do you think this is right or fair to the person that created the images and wrote the text? More so when the original site they are from should be given credit and/or a link, but they are not. Because after all they did create the image/write the text and the owner of the site spent their time doing so.

Abe Babe...

I think it's right only if the webmaster/arist gives permission and they are given credit. The pictures on my website are used only with credit given to the artists/webmasters.
