Oh I soooo agreeeeeeeeee.
It stuck to it's roots. Yes I worried for a while that it would go the way of the casual gamer style, the collect only and run around like a chicken without a head arcade style game. But this game is Oddworld, but now in 3d with tons of eye candy.
The mystical feel, the original art style, the puzzles already becoming brain teasers, the getting through all the sections in a perfect way are all here again, along with great art and CG cutscenes from the heavens, lighting effects, shadows are all very crisp and done in layers of shades, everyting is alive and deep. This game has stuck to it's roots and not given in to "Johnny average gamer". It's all we fell in love with but in it's next "ADVANCED Incarnation". I have played 4 hours thus far, tooo many other games to play as well. Plus I want it to last, so little by little I play a bit now and then and always look forward to the next sections of what I think is a masterpeice. I play it and it just reminds me again of why I loved the first two games soooo much to begin with, if you liked the first two, you will totally fall in love with this one. Well back to Oddworld, I just put myself in the mood for some more of it's great gameplay.
