Dead Old classics :)

so i found my old ps1 in the bottom of my closet the other day and crash team racing was in the disk slot so i thought "hey i used to love this game as a kid (even though i still am one)" and i just spent hours of enjoyment playing it (im trying to clock it with 100%)

but anyway this is starting to sound like a blog so is there any old ps1 or sega games that you've played lately or just used to love

discuss

I've been getting ROMS for the old Commodore 64. There was this one game that I used to love called, "The Secret of Bastow Manor". It gave me hours of enjoyment.

I would love to re-obtain this. I had more fun on this game than I did with any other fighting game.

That's nostalgia talking. Soul Calibur 1 and 2 play far better than it.

3 and 4 not so much.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Rayman yet, given how much you guys fawn over it.

I liked this.

Kula World was amazing. I spent alot of hours defeating that games.

Blue guy saving people from this evil boss? What was it called? Oh yeah! Abe's Oddysee!

But!!! DEMO 1 people! How can you forget this? Maybe this is the same for some of you guys but Demo 1 was my introduction to Oddworld.

AoE II is my favourite of the series, by far. Played the shit out of it as a kid.

Also, this game is majorly nostalgic:

I never actually owned it, but played it at my cousin's and under rental from the video store all the time. Such a fun game.

Probably my favourite game ever.

And, finally:

I realize that most of these are N64 titles, but who gives a fuck. They're old, and they're classic.
My favourite Zelda game, for sure.

I was only born in '93, so I haven't played a lot of old games... but some I remember and really liked/still like are AO and AE, AoE I and II, HoMM II... FO2 I only played for the first time a few years ago, but it's great (though turn-based combat with heaps of monsters was really slow and frustrating).

I also rediscovered Dink Smallwood a year or so ago after Googling basically everything I remembered about the game from when I was seven or so... "find duck to escape village save farms rpg" or something along those lines. It's really silly and the graphics are atrocious but it's fun in a strange kind of way.

I still have my PS1 from launch and it worked perfectly. Until Ridg3 knocked coke all over it a few months ago.

As WoF said, Rayman.

Rayman is to date amongst the best platformers ever made. It was so perfectly done.

Super Mario Bros 1 and 3 on NES are 2 of my favourite Mario games. Super Mario World on the SNES was the best in my eyes.

Duke Nukem 3D was amazing. Quake should also be mentioned.

No way! I never played Spyro the Dragon, but I finished Gateway to Glimmer ~2 times and it was shit as fucking hell. The world and creature designs were awful.

And CrissCross: please don't post such huge images!

I replay the Donkey Kong Country games once or twice every year. Yoshi's Island is cool too.

I'm not sure if morrowind counts as an old classic yet (I think it's 9/10 years old?) but I tend to launch that every once in a while to relax and steal pillows
