From what I can gather it's a prequal to Bioshock 1, set in 1912. It apparently plays in the same universe as the other two games and has similar gameplay such as a plasmids, but since it takes place before Rapture was even built the entire concept of plasmids is completely retarded.

I guess we'll have to see what they make of it, but right now it looks more like some cheap knock off than a true prequal/sequal, whatever.

Well atleast it looks unique, it's true that steampunk is an unpopular theme in video-games.

It looks a shit ton better than Bioshock 2. Mostly because Ken Levine is involved.

I personally don't like the happy joy colorful cartoony look. Especially not associated with a Bioshock title.

Then again, the developer was very specific in an interview that this particular footage plays in 1912. I wouldn't put it past them to have the actual game play 25 years later after that entire city crashed and burned somewhere in the ocean.

I can't decide which I want more Bioshock Infinite or LBP2, probably Bioshock Infinite.

I hope this new Bioshock actually looks like it does in the trailer...

Yer, you actually have a point about the lack of steampunk themed games, come to think of it I've only played one in my life and that's Penny Arcade on the Precipice of Drakness. That game also has a shit load of HPL references you should check it out.

Oh hold up I misread your thing, I meant you'd like it because of the steampunk look.

Probably because it's a game of the H.P.L. story Shadow Over Innsmouth. But yes, that is the best-known and pretty much only H.P. Sauce Lovecraft game.

Looks different that's for sure, I won't be able to properly judge it until I actually play it when it's released. But it does look pretty interesting.

Eh but I'm not sure if I'm actually going to buy it, I just have too many FPS games in my library, it infuriates me. Also Bioshock Infinite will never have a character as cool as Andrew Ryan in it lol.

I'll definitely play it though.

I still haven't played Bioshock 2 (although I do love this commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzsCV8Ec8Y). The first one was a brilliant masterpiece of a game, though. This looks like it will be another great game, and I am glad to see the series moving away from Rapture and focusing on the mystery of "what the hell happened here?" again.

Definitely looking forward to this... although I could have sworn I already said I was looking forward to this game on this forum...

Bioshock 2 is one of my favorite games just don't play it on PS3 it looks blurrier than the 360 version, curse you better graphics card and greater amount of RAM.

I REALLY like how you're not playing as a nameless protagonist anymore, I never understood how I was supposed to relate to a hand holding a gun.
