The Last Book You Read

Booker T. Washington's Up From Slavery was mine for a history class. Pretty damn good book.
Don't buy it, look it up on the internet as it is open source.
The last book I read for pleasure was Lucifer's Hammer. This book has it all, a post-apocalyptic world, insane cannibal religious leaders, and racial strife.
Don't get hung up on the whole black/white thing and read it in context. If an asteroid hit the earth in the early 60s this is what would happen.

What is this 'book' think you talk about? I do know a booklet, like the little things of paper that come with games? If thats what you meant then I just read the C&C 3 manual.

The last book I read was The Other by Robert Mulligan. It was kind disturbing and odd, but I really enjoyed it (and the movie based on it).

It's true it is a very good book, but the LOTR is crap.

Shit. I was going to create a thread similar to this. Ah well, guess ya beat me to it.

The last book I read was Battle Royale. I've already read it three times, but I still can't get enough of that book. It's definitely my favorite book of all time.

I'm planning on reading that too, as I just finished reading the Zombie Survival Handbook, and I had a hard time putting it down. Now I'm ready for the uprising! In 2046. On March 31st. At 2:03 pm.

Holy shit, I don't even remember. Books are a thing of the past...for me at least...I think it was War and Peace that I finally managed to screw through last summer (in Russian, mind you, since I can read Russian and the book was written in Russian/French, so what the hey?), but I don't remember reading anything after that.

Well. Since when did teenagers read books, of all things?

The Innocent Man by John Grisham.

I wasn't crazy about it, but it was a good example of the major flaws in the US Justice system.

Probably my favorite book of all time would be The 7th Dark Tower Book by Stephen King. The book honestly made me cry at something tha is not real.

That's the third fake thing that's made me cry in my whole life. The first was Armaggedon, when Bruce killed himself, and the second was Castaway, when Wilson got swept out to sea.

"Star Trek: The Next Generation: Ancient Blood". Alexander gets lots of lines in this one.

Halo: the Flood
Halo: First Strike
Halo: Ghosts of Onyx

The last Dark Tower book is one of the worst excuses for a novel ever published. There are so many things wrong with that book that it boggles my mind that anyone would even say it was okay, much less good enough to cry over.

Hm... This is sad. I must be one of the only people who enjoy reading books.

Pleasure: Harry Potter 5
Harry Potter 6 both are much better than what the film makers are going to make/butcher.
Everyone in my class was surprized when I said I read one in under two weeks. I am thinking, "It's not that darn hard, retards!" Then again, the people in my class aren't the most intelligent...
And I am Currently reading Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Pretty damn good for just being a reading copy of the movie.

Forced: A seperate Peace: Movie was okay, but the book was s000oooo damn boring.

Lord of the Flies: My first impression upon reading a few chapters was "Cannibal children?! WTF? Then it changed to "Homocidal children? WTF?!" after I realized they didn't eat eachother.

I like reading the Hitchhiker's series, becasue they make you think a lot. I read all 5. The last 2 are very confusing though, and I'll probably re-read them later.

ugh..I hate the Harry Potter Books. The 5th book seemed so hastily written and the ending was horrible.

Yes. it was all pushing the ending out there, making it seem all big and whatnot, then it just kind of...exploded. In a huge disqusting pile. The 6th one was passable though. I actually enjoyed it.

I was going to read that series while I was interested but I couldn't find it anywhere. Also I probably buy the Zombie Handbook first but I heard that WWZ was better. And Finally I've read some of the silmarilion but not lately because it is very confusing

Either you mean the sixth or you're lieing to get some stupid fanboy to ask how you managed to get a copy of the seventh. Seeing as it's not coming out for another 3.5 months.

She used to be a tiger trainer in the early 1900's, so you can see why I'm reading .
