This is one of the best adverts for a game i have ever seen

I still don't get why they used 'Mad World' in this game's trailer...

I might be getting a 360 though and this will be one of the first games I'l be playing.

Well, the theme of Gears of War is "Destroyed Beauty". And I think Mad World fits in that theme.

After seeing the extended trailer on Youtube I so want to get this game. I'm normally not a big fan of shooters on consoles (FPS's belong on the PC with a keyboard and a mouse, period) but I'm willing to make an exception for this one.
This game seems to be a crossbreed between Half Life, Call of Duty and Oddworld.
It seems to have the detailed and catchy story of Half Life, the setting and overal idea of Call of Duty (a little) and the amazing directing of cut scenes like in Oddworld games.

From what I know, Gears of War is an amazing game. It's already topped Halo on XBL. It's times like this I wish I had a 360.

When you start to play this game the use of that song will become clear, Mad World does not do it justice.
Am only a couple of hours into it , but it`s a blast( no pun).
The graphics and AI just rock.
Most of what you see in the trailer is in the game, the one major exception is that Fenix (that is you) is never alone.
Story is a little weak, but what the hell, the action is non-stop.
Ya just gotta love the Chainsaw Bayonet, and if you don`t jump when a
Fricken Berserker crashes through the first time, some thing is wrong with you.

Can`t tell you to get a 360 just for this just for this, but i would think about it.
Only bitch i hear about the game is that it is rather short.

You can get a 360 for just GoW and Halo 3 :P. And Bio Shock. And Mass Effect. And Portal!

I'm getting Gears over winter break. Simply because two of my friends in my dorm already have it and I've gotten to play it plenty but dont have my own 360 here with me right now. The game is quite addicting.

Also, that trailer was masterful, I loved it when I first saw it especially after recognizing "Mad World" from Donnie Darko.

It weas to create a unique atmosphere for the viewer by having a peaceful song go with a chaotic setting. The whole "opposties attract" mentality.

Tell me, would you have been more interested if they had some thrashy metal song on the trailer?

I hope so, man. I couldn't help but feel that they skipped out on the story a bit. My friend got the game, but doesn't read stuff online, and had no idea what E-Day was after beating the game. I don't think he knew the term "Locust" either. That always annoyed me about games. Put the story in the game AND on the Internet. Tsk tsk.

Overall, though, awesome game. I'm excited for the next installments.

XD hillarious, brilliant action, a hitning story (i barely payed attention till my third play through) multiplayer is the most addicting and well balanced ever. I love how you can come back from impossible odds, or with clever planning and skill take out a whole team when its just you left. me= god of torque bow.

Actually, if you do absolutely nothing at the title screen, a cinematic will play, and you'll know everything about E-day after that
