New Halo sshtuff!

Yeah, I think this deserves a new topic.

Anyways, Bungie has announced a new Halo game!

Halo Wars, a RTS, made by Ensemble Studios (AoE)

Furthermore, Peter Jackson, Bungie and Microsoft are gonna work together and form a new company to focus on more Halo stuff! Teh Awesome!

That is great news. Actually Halo CE was originally conceived as an RTS with no Master Cheif to speak of. It was changed when Microsoft snapped it up for their XBox, but even then it was going to be third person, possibly involving playing as UNSC marines and ODST "Helljumper" shock troopers.

Now let's close the floodgates before the Halo flamers storm the thread.

Microsoft are a bunch of assholes. They shut down all Halo-related mods for PC games for no reason. I hope this project falls like a brick.

Maybe L-B because the mods violate the EULA and terms and conditions of use?

Just because some companies accept it doesn't mean that all have to.

Total Annihilation was the worst offender of RTS. Sure, it had cool robots that kill stuff, but was it so different?

Besides, RTSs are an aquired taste. Alot of time people can't cope with multitasking and strategy, and get kill when they try to build their first Hydralisk....because they thought that they should build all the buildings first.

I saw a trailer for it, and it looks awesome! The only thing that got me was the Elites had claws instead of regular fingers like they used to have. But thats just me...

yeah. no kidding. Another thing that could tick someone off a whole bunch, is that there is more than just Master Cheif. As my brother stated a couple days ago, after Reach, there shouldn't be any more other than Master Cheif.

Although, this could take place a long time after the second and third Halo's...
Or maybe it's kinda like multiplayer, where there can be an infinite amount of spartans but no one's the real "Master Cheif"...
