What happened to oddworld universe site?

It says it expired but how? please tell me that they are upgrading the site!

Noooooooooo! Not only has the main site gone but so has TOGG! Arggggh!

It doesn't take much to upgrade a site, and you certainly don't take it off line whiles your doing it.

It means it expired. It's time has ran out.

No. TOGG is Xav's site, isn't it? I don't think it has expired, it should be there.

Oddworld Universe, TOGG and TOA are down for the moment,
I can't do anything, since it's Alcar's site that's hosting mines.

I'll drop him a line

It says it's the domain that's down, not the host. The address oddworlduniverse.com expired on the 18^th. Looks like Alcar forgot to renew it. Until then you can, in theory, use the correct IP address, but I don't know what that is.

Quick! Someone re-register the domain before Alcar can get to it.

Yeah, the URL is http://www.oddworlduniverse.com/

The URL is the same thing as the web address.

Yeah, I know what a URL is, but I had no idea that OddworldUniverse.com was Alcar's website. I'd been wondering for a long time who it belonged to.

As for TOGG / TOA, I'll have to look into transfering it into our default domain name.

Well I think I can understand why OWU will stop to exist, becuase there hasn't been any news on updates on OWI for over a year. And I hear running a website costs Moolah.

Buying the domain name costs Moolah, but I'm guessing - and hoping I'm not overstepping my bounds - that Alcar is giving up on Oddworld Universe for the same reason past fansites have died, and that's lack of interest in running/time to run the website.

A blow for the community and The Oddworld Library.

Correct. I don't have any time to run OWU anymore. The cost of a domain name is nothing - I just don't see the point in re-registering it, when all it serves is to lay there doing nothing.

I've got ideas for a return with something new but different. But that would only ever fruitate when the movie is released, or the period of time before its release.

TOGG and TOA would more than likely have to have a domain name registered for them.
