OW AO make top 200 in EGM magizine

but I found this UBER

In my Electronics Gaming Magizine, since It is the 200th issue, they did the top 200 games of their time, #175 being Oddworld Abe's Oddysee. Sure, you may think "#175, that aint big" but think. 200 games from the dawn of Video Gaming. 17 years of Games, and AO made it in their top 200. I think thats pretty good.

Heh, I still have two EGM's from back in the day, both from '92. One with Doom on the cover, and the other with Sonic. AND NMS! Damn, I almost forgot about that. Nintendo v Sega letters sended in were very amusing. So was Mr. Prassard.

I feel old.

#175? Well, that is rather grand. Does the remainder of OWI get a sticker or something similar?

I think they meant that it was the most popular game in those 17 years. Also, it was made into several copies. Maybe later on some people thought it was getting old and over published. But, hey, 175# place, oh yeah!

The first scrolling platformer that didn't drag on CPU time so much, so it could be used on a console.

Heya, Mario was popular, for sure, but wasn't Sonic The Hedgehog even more popular? Hell, it's even had several series of it's own dang TV show. I can count 3-4 different ones that I know of. Admitadly, though, Sonic never had a movie like SMB (well, that ah c'n remember anyway); but, it's also had many more games (I think) than SMB made. I even have a book of STH, and my friend has a bunch of comics; however Mario mighta had some of those, too.

So now that ah thinks of it, did any Sonic games score in the top 200 games?
