Oddworld ODDWORLD PETS!

If you could have one Oddworld creature, any creture on Oddworld as a pet, what would it be and why?

I would want a.....(man this is tuff).....Mudokon. Just because I feel like they are closer to a human than anything else on Oddworld so we communicate and get along really well.

I'll have to say a fuzzle (or a few fuzzles). Not only are those things loyal and vicious, they're ultimately cute and can therefore attract babes.
Can't go wrong.

I'd like a Stunkz, as long as it was trained well. It's damn cute and could be useful to ward off intruders and irritating relatives.

A Steef. Tough, somewhat loyal, and I just like 'em. Oo Oo! Or a Gloktigi! Make great guard dogs, and I guess pets...

A trained scrab or paramite..

Scrab: Better transportation and a "FEAR ME!" moment .

paramite: So cute. I would just love to have one for my own.

Whee for the scrab. Just think! No more waiting in line at the supermarket! . And those jaws make for fine can openers as well ^_^.
Either that or a chipmunk or a fuzzle :P.

You can't have a pet that would kill somone ... think of the legal repercussions.
Unless you meant that your otherworldly pet scared people away from lines.

But then again, if we're discussing having pets from Oddworld, we'll have to suspend disbelief anyway.
I still have to say fuzzle ... though I think a paramite would be cool, too. I didn't know we were assuming we could have these animals trained.

Snakes can kill someone. Even normal dogs can kill someone. Scorpions can kill someone, so can horses.

Anyways, who wouldn't want a pet, which can open up cans with its jaws, and preform a nice tapdance-act while you're eating?

I'd probably like glukkon, more of a financial advisor than a pet. he could help me advertise and sell my comix!

I'd have to choose between a Paramite and a Slig... Single Paramites are so fun, I remember in Exoddus when you had to use a Paramite to keep some Fleeches away. For a few moments it really looked like the thing was deliberately being my guard dog. But then again, I absolutely love Sligs. It'd curl up on the foot of my bed at night... No guns, though!

Lol Ajiellyn, wonderful mental image there. Awww, Sligs can be cute too. I'd still stick with a Steef though. They're furry.

A SLIG! I couldnt stand a Slig. They probably smell horrible.

Slog, too drooly.
Slig, too smelly.
Fleech, too licky.
Paramites and Scrabs would be too freaky to keep in the house.

I just have to stick with mine.

Who said you'd have to keep a paramite or scrab indoors? Some people raise their pets to be outdoors animals.

A glukkon! Just what I need. From a financial standpoint. Not from a monopolize the universe standpoint.

A slig ... interesting. Aren't they, like, loving and nurturing by nature? Provided they never found guns, they might be good companions.

A mudokon as a pet ... I think that they are too sentient to count as "pets." For that matter, so are gabbits, sligs, glukkons, and steefs. Maybe cool buddies, but not pets.
Know what I mean?

YEAH, thats what I meant when I started this thread, not really as a pet but as a buddie.

And still you know what I mean About the Srcabs, even if they werent in the house it would be freaky.

Or...instead of a Steef...I'd take some Stingbees, Rabid Fuzzles, and Boom-bats! Or a Scrab...I LOVE ALL OF THE WILDLIFE! ^.^

Yeah, I don't think that Muds, Sligs and Gluks (probably even Gabbits) could be considered as "pets". If I were to have a "friend" of Oddworld, then I'd go with a Mudokon, but for a "pet"........that's a tough one. I would've went with Fuzzles, but since they're very toothy that's out of the picture. I guess I'd go with an Elum.

mudokon wouldn't be your pet, buddy, or slave....... if your that evil

but a scrab would be cool, a group of paramites would be awsome, but i think, something small would be best.... or an elum!

Well I usualy have my friends scrub the kitchen floor. So if I can get a mud for a friend, yes, that would be swell. :P

Heh, well while a glukkon would be a good financial advisor... I wouldn't wanna walk in on it in the shower if it lived with me. What an AWFUL site! When I saw Molluck... naked... the first time in Abe's Oddysee, I reacted at the same time abe did and went "YICHH!!" But I need the financial advice.

Financial Advisor - Glukkon
Someone to take on Roadtrips - Gabbit (seems like they'd be lovely company)
Excercise Buddy - I dunno! A slig??? Maybe a mudokkon.
Yoga Partner - Mudokkon
Hunting Partner - (Whatever the heck Stranger is... I forgot)
Someone to help me with my science homework - Vykker
Transportation - Elum
Pet - Fuzzles (indoor) Slogs (outdoor)

Or else if not a Steef then a Gabbit, cuz they're peaceful creatures and they are sooo cute
