Metronome

Looks like it's shaping up to be a fantastic game. Not much is know about it, but it's essentially a puzzle game in a strange, Poe-ish industrial British universe, and you use music and sound to manipulate your environment. Seems very imaginative and fresh, I thought you might like to hear aboots it.

Shit, sounds trippy. I dig any game that utilises music anyway. Apparently it comes out on PC/Xbox360.

Heh. Perhaps there will be justification for me to buy X360. Or mabye not.

Wow, I actually read some of the reviews for this game, and it looks ****ing incredible. The graphics are insane, and the concept is totally new. You can apparently record sounds and manipulate them and use them to fight. For example, recording a yelping dog, then slowing down the recording to make it sound much bigger and more intimidating, thereby scaring enemies away.

This game rocks my ****ing b0xorZ.

Alright. Another decent-looking Xbox360 game. Maybe I won't feel guilty for buying one after all.

I'd say that this game will be the next Psychonauts. It really looks great, and hurray for innovative design and style.

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds remarkably similar to a certain wireframe music based game on the Dreamcast?

This would be better if it were renamed to MetroGnome, and featured an evil homosexual garden ornament on a warpath of vengeance and such.

Sounds like an real creative and ingenious game, looks surperb. I like concept of it, and it would probably be on my wanted list. But I'm not planning on getting an Xbox360.

It's good to see games like this continuing making their way to the next-gen platfiorms.

NEVAMIND!

Sorry for the crappy quality, my camera = sucks. But if you zoom in enough, it's just barely legible.

Actually, screw that stuff, I got a better idea.

Hmm no offense Kimon but this game is beggining to use the concept (IMO I don't know why really....) of the DS game electroplankton. Except you can't use the recorded sounds to fight but you can mix it up all together to make a catchy tune. I guess that's where the concept using ends then.

I've heard of electroplankton. It sounds absolutely NOTHING like this game. Sans the fact that they both use sound, I have no idea where you would draw a similarity.

Meh maybe i'm just crazy. Today my school's air conditioning was not working and I swear I think I felt a portion of my brain being fried up in the process.

Can you try to scan those pages? The legibility quotient in those photos is low.

Believe me, if I had a scanner, I would. I tried taking closer photos, it didn't work.

Ok, it's old, but here's the trailer. That was pre-E3.

Very Burton-esque atmosphere. W007! I'm pumped for this game.

This in from Idle Thumbs:

:
Has Metronome found a publisher?

The stylish sound-driven adventure Metronome has reared its pretty head again. After appearing in a list of upcoming Xbox 360 releases in Official Xbox Magazine in September, it has most recently been sighted in this month's Official Playstation Magazine in a list of launch or near-launch Playstation 3 titles.

The developers have been out of the limelight since demoing a prototype of the game at E3 to various publishers and a handful of journalists.

Team Tarsier would not confirm the rumors when contacted. However, their reply did end with a suggestive (if widely interpretable) winky face. Are the developers keeping up appearances while their game is still being shopped around, or have they gotten a deal and are now bound by a non-disclosure agreement?

We dropped OPM a note asking why Metronome was included in the list, but received no reply—we don't know if the list was based on speculation or something more substantial.
