Um...they are.

If you're talking about a sudden, mass revolution...it's a bit more complicated then that. Some are drunk of SoulStorm Brew. Some just don't care, or are hopeless. Plus, the industrialists do have technology on their side.

A revolution may be possible one day...but not yet.

On topic:
Yeah, I think the natives are headed toward a revolution against the industrialists. It's only a matter of time before the industrialists do something that crosses a line that shouldn't be crossed, and causes the natives to snap.

Munch's oddysee was the first step to the revolution... and you can notice that in that game Mudokons are beginning to fight back.

ya i think they wouldbrobably have 2 attack the skillya first than there would be a minumum of sligs then they can start taking down the sligs slowly but that would take a while than also interns and vykers would have 2 be destroyed

A bomb, yes. An ambush of sligs would get wrecked trying to jump an army of Mudokens. Plus, seeing as how they're all native, the essentially have an infinite army.

Anyway, not all muds realise that they are being taken advantage of. Abe thought he had a good job, remember? He wouldn't have thought that if he believed he was being taken advantage of. Abe was the first, hopefully, of many. The news of Abe is still spreading through the industrial mud community. MO was the first time (to my knowledge) that enslaved muds were aware of Abe.

(Just added the underline before someone told me about the warm welcome he recieved for the native/freed muds and someone else had to point out that I said enslaved. See that? That's foresight

Ewww, I hope OWI never advocate armed revolution. Surely they're the people to preach a peaceful solution (even if Star Trek's already done it). Peaceful and subtle revolution really is the way to go, and it would be completely in tune with Mudokon ideology. Using nature to simply disable Industrial operations would be an ace alternative.

I hated the fact that Mudokons were so violent and trigger-happy in MO. An eternal stain on their character!

quite true, violence doesn't fit mudokons...
but the revolution in MO was more like an untought reaction to their oppression, I think that once many mudokons are in liberty they will adopt a more calm and peacefull attitude

Anyway, we've been learning about the US black slave revolts in the south in history this year. None succeeded. The, "best," one just left a load of people dead. Leaders can be snagged or snitched on. People can be intimidated. The slave masters can just order everyone to be blown to smithereens. All this is applicable to Oddworldian society.

On top of that, we know that A) Muds are a peace-loving society, and B) Not all industrial muds are in chains and, that said, not all probably mind the violent consumer culture they co-exist with.

the problem is that some muds even like their job...
The way I see things is that muds need to break free and hide back in their lost cities, and from there start a peacefull revolution.

but breaking free can't allways be done peacefully.
