I didn't where to say this. There's no random off-topic thread, and there's no recent thread here I could add to; I did looking in the thread about Spelling and Punctuation but it appears to be closed.
Anyway, at the moment, tehre is a lot of unnecessary hostility between posters. This community is only very small, in comparison to a lot of communities, and rather than creating an unhealthy atmosphere from which people are bound to leave (remember Clairebear?) I think we should accept small spelling mistakes to which people are constantly overreacting.
This thread here for instance. Check posts 21, 25 and 26. All unnecessary. Big ****ing deal, he put the apostrophe in the wrong place and potentially left out a comma.
I was actually interested in that discussion, and it's just plain disappointing to see in literred with worthless shit.
Yeah, it looks like a weak argument, giving you one example, but to be honest, I can't be bothered trawling through the posts looking for your rubbish. Please attempt to be tolerant and warming to each other; people are always jumping down peoples backs for every small slip-up.
We have a stupid shit thread. A stupid-what thread? Yes, I know people are fully aware of shit, and that it's not really that bad in such a perdominantly teenage environment, but it looks really hostile. I've always hated that thread, if only for it's name.
Look at the way they're jumping down each other's necks
here. God, this gets on my nerves. It's everywhere. And it always escalates. Maybe it's just the threads I visit.
I'm not even sure what I'm suggesting here, which is why I wanted to put it in a random thread in Off-topic, but I hate constant friction and tension in such a small community.
