RE: Oddworld Alliance: Death and rebirth.

I just read it a while ago, and I'm filled with questions now.
Who's Grid?
Was it ever continued?
If it was, what happened to Shred?
eh, so this is kind of offtopic, but w/e

I believe you'd have to ask Abe Babe, as she hosts it on Oddworld-Web.

Here ya go Xavier, have a link:The Oddworld Alliance: Death and Rebirth

Anyway...crap! I really should pay attention to the name and authors of the fics. Grid took a break and never came back....as far as I know. Someone (I forget who) said that he lost intrest in Oddworld while away, leaving The Oddworld Alliance: Death and Rebirth unfinished...

'Sright - Grid was going to do something like seven stories, and prequels and whatnot, but his first one ended up fairly sprawling and he didn't even manage to finish that one, what with school committments and whatnot. I think he lost interest in Oddworld, anyway - I mean, I keep seesawing back and forth, somedays I check the forums every day but sometimes I go back the other way and don't check them for a month, depending on if I'm in an "Oddworld mood". *shrugs*

I love that story, it's one of my favourite Oddworld fan fics. I think I've already said this before though.

Trouble is, I don't think Grid ever said HOW he was going to finish it. Had my suspicions, talking to him, but I'm not sure he ever explained how it was going to be finished.

Mainard's fiction, now, I wish THAT had been finished...

Bah, usally I don't venture here but I've had ties to Grid myself back in the day. It was great, even after I lost interest in Oddworld. If anyone can get in conctact with him he can probibly try to get an Idea of what to do... maybe.

It's pretty much impossible to finish someone elses story. For one thing, most people pull experiences and ideas out of there own lives to aid both the writing and the story. As no one has shared all his experiences, no one can match the themes.
And there's the problem with the plot like you all said.
The point is, even if someone did finish the story, it just wouldn't be as good because you'd all be expecting one thing and you would get something else. Only Grid has the power to finish what has been begun...

I suppose but does anyone know how to contact him? Besides I thought he lost interest in Oddworld. Although he might finish it for us if he isn't busy or would just like to continue the story. We all want him to finish this story right? But what if it doesn't turn out as expected? Maybe it's good that it is left unfinished and un-spoiled or it could turn out great we just don't know. I personally would like to see the story unfinished though.
