Most of the things they were taking the piss out of didn't even happen in the game, like the chainsaw, and the guy wearing the same clothes.
You do get a chainsaw in the game. You find in the woods when you replay the game after unlocking it. There is a dead guy who wears the same clothes as James, but he's not in the street like he claims. He's sitting in a recliner in the apartment buildings.
