I just tried to comment on a youtube video, (I already have G+) and a window popped up asking me to update my account. It took me DIRECTLY to a page saying "Close this page and return to app." When I went back, nothing changed and the window popped up again. I still can't comment, and some of my likes aren't recorded at all.

anyone who hates Google and disagrees with their idea of saving your search terms, which can be legally requested at a later date if the need arises, should use something like this. i have for some time. i don't want the governments attention just because i have a healthy interest in homemade explosives.

Also, I like Google maps because you can street view and walk around entire cities that way. Sometimes you'll catch people in A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS and that is always great. Like... haha random person hopping a fence whose pants got caught, I can see your bare ass. Hope you'll think about THAT the next time you go around existing.

No. They earn money from ads. Not from videos. You have no problem watching ads on youtube. It's the videos which freeze. And users can do absolutely nothing about it, because yt has no real opponents so they can't just switch to another site, and the management clearly abuse that fact.

As for the other shit you just spouted, I work a full time job, have my own home, and take care of the people I love. They never need to worry about whether they will eat, or have electricity, or heat, or if they will be able to see a doctor when they need to. I work a lot to make that happen, and I'm good at what I do. I'm not perfect, and I've made some rather large mistakes, but I'm back on track, and very happy.

I don't think that at all. I do, however, understand that Youtube can be used as a very effective stepping stone in creating a career doing what you love. But.....it's a stepping stone. There is clearly no way that someone should rely on it long term to make their money. That's just irresponsible. The service itself, and the ever changing whims of the internet should scream to them that this is secondary until they can really start making it primary on services that are not Youtube.
