My friend said that too. But his mam and dad surprised him at Christmas. He got X-Box Live, when he didn't even expect it. You probably will get it at X-Mas. Once you buy the first things, you are on X-Box Live till it stops, or you die really. Only #
40 quid a year.

It does. Timtable = X-box Live Calender. I think it may come out this month. Because it's a new calender each month.

To be honest Alpha, I'm not sure. I just assumed it was, cos my friend said so. I don't pay for it. But, you can get free 1 year trials for it. Sorry for that mistake.

it's like XBL, but free, and lags horribly.

XBL is 50 a year in the states. Shouldn't be too far away from 50 anywhere else.

some BS about it being too powerful (same with Infinite grenades and the Banshee Bomb). I dunno why they just can't put it so you can only use them in custom games, like the sentinel beam.

This is a thread for general Xbox Live discussion. Some banter about Halo here and there is OK, but if you're going to constantly update us on Halo 2 "clues" for downloadable maps or the discuss the weaponry, then take it to the Halo thread. I'm not saying that you CAN'T talk about these things, just keep the banter to a minimum.

On a different note, Unreal Championship 2 comes out on the 11th (for the US). I'll be snatching that bitch up real quick-like, and I want to rock all of your asses with my Gen Mo'Kai homie.

OMG! I just got Star Wars: Republic Commando, and it's AMAZING. I have yet to play it on XBL, but I probobly will in an hour or two. AMAZING GAME.

Yeah it got really good reviews for the campaign, but they (and by they, I mean gamespot) said that the multiplayer was somewhat lacking. Let me know how it is, ie is it worth buying.

Also, has anyone played Snowblind on XBL?

i saw on HIH (high impact halo) that there is going to be an Halo 2 expansion pack with 9 maps!!!
everybody is talking about this so it may be true
but dont forget its just a rumour...
the date will be MAY 24th so keep an eye out for info

Halo 2 Expansion Pack - now for sale
EB Games is now offering the Halo 2 Expansion Pack - $19.99, containing 9 new multiplayer maps, a new cinematic video (!!), and a new mini-documentary video from Bungie. Ship date is listed as May 24th. Did EB Games post this a little too early...? No word from Bungie yet about the availability of certain parts of this directly over Live - more when we know it. Update: Looks like there's a pretty sizeable thread about this already on our forum - nova posted it last night. I haven't read the whole thing yet - but lots of people are complaining that they have to pay for this. I cannot understand why nobody willing to wait for an official announcement from Bungie - we have no IDEA whether the material will be available via another route, and what (if anything) it will cost. Update: looks like the listing has been pulled from the EBGames website. No real surprise there...
