Shitting myself with excitement, I'm off to see Krzysztof Penderecki conduct his own (and Lutosławski's) work tonight and in October. He's my favourite living composer, I always thought he'd die before I got to see him.

I love this piece. Practically Mingus' answer to a Romantic era symphony, there's so much contrast and drama. I'd implore everyone to listen to the whole thing and play it very loud, although it's unlikely anyone will listen to it for more than a few minutes or without skipping through it. In which case, it's your loss.

I recently listened to this after ingesting psilocybin mushrooms and I found myself gliding through the universe to its beat.
One of those barely known stoner rock bands that just have so much talent. Stoner Rock is the only genre that produces music currently that consistently shows instrumental talent.
