I'm playing Gods Eater Burst too. It's like Monster Hunter but about a trillion times more accessible. It actually broke the MH spell since I just stopped playing those games entirely.
I really love DBZ fighters, they're like nothing else. I tried to think of something clever like 'Once you go Bardock you never go Backock' but that's not very good. I'm thinking about buying or borrowing another next gen system just to play the newer, prettier games.

You have great taste!
For me, the Jak series just hasn't been all that memorable. With that said, I never owned a Jak game and didn't own a PS2 until all the hype died down. I remember there being a 'dark side' element to your character (can be done well, but sometimes it's overused) and I remember the race / police AI, which was somewhat strange.
I guess I'm not really all that used to linear games all that much. I sort of prefer things like Fallout and Super Mario Galaxy where you can go wherever you like, or rather you can choose your next path.
Meanwhile, I've been playing 24: The Game on PS2. Good if you like the series, but does have a few annoying things, like driving missions where you have to lose the police, which can be almost impossible sometimes. I've also been playing Assassin's Creed III storymode. I'm up to Connor now. The hunting is very fun, it actually reminds me of an old game like Oregon Trail where you play as a native american and survive in the wilderness, although that game was virtually unplayable and looked terrible. Overall ACIII is really great, look forward to more great games of this standard in the future.
