The angles make me wonder if you can control the camera to a limited degree. That would be crazy helpful, and pretty cool.

It ... looks blurry to you?
Maybe you can't see this at this resolution. I looked at the screenshots just after I looked at the newest 4K resolution screens from Wasteland 2 (example here), and as the image was zoomed out it looked okay, but as I zoomed in it appeared that the internal game resolution is significantly lower than the screenshot res so it looked/was very upscaled. Although I don't have high-res screenshots from NnT, I felt like it's the similar deal here (it's even the same engine). But this is just an assumption, and I might be as well horribly wrong.

That is an interesting point, I'm thinking maybe for the purposes of screenshots that perhaps they had a free moving camera just to set up the angles. For regular users though, I can't imagine there's that much control over it. Just keep in mind that the game is constantly scrolling, so I can't imagine they will let you adjust the camera that much otherwise you will be able to see what dangers lie ahead.

Of course they wouldn't let you do a full 360 around Abe or anything even close to that, but I don't think being able to tilt the camera just a tad would be problematic. That way you'd be able to see a little bit ahead, and plan around what you see, while not giving away too much. It's fair enough, considering that you can't take advantage of screens anymore.

EDIT: The Dutch angle in the first screenshot makes me wonder if that's a thing that happens when you die.

What I was trying to say was that I think you can make the camera scroll left or right, but probably not that much.

I don’t see it. That Wasteland 2 screenshot doesn’t look blurry to me, more that they’ve set the texture resolution and antialiasing too low for the resolution they’re using.

If the NnT screen looks blurry at all my guess would be because of how the screenshot was downscaled – you’d figure any screenshots JAW would send out for publishing would be 1920x1080, yet on the PlayStation site they’re 1024x575 (exactly one pixel away from a perfect 16:9 aspect ratio). It’s feasible that Sony downscaled the screenshots for the site and this had the result of making one particular screen look a little hazy.

That could work too, but I'd rather be able to tilt it. Might not be quite as practical, sure, but it would look cool.

I'm massively curious as to what's happened right here, and why that mudokon to the far left is so happy about it.

E:I just wish we could see Abe's hands in the picture so we could see if it was pre/post hand-scarring, maybe it's something to do with Abe using his Shrykull power? I'm just pissing in the dark here.

I would guess it’s something to do with that. This screen from the first post looks to be from the same scene, and seems to be Abe stepping up to either receive a scar or to test the Shrykull power.

Amazing work JAW/OI! I especially like the tilted paramonian shot. Pretty much everything about that shot is excellent The Rupturefarms scene is a little too hygienically clean; needs some tarnish on that shiny metalwork, make it look aged somewhat.

I completely love the tree, and how the nearby fire's lighting effect colours it. The tree's shape, its texture - looks so totally natural. Great job

I think it's from the last FMV, right before Abe farts. It's the only time I can recall where you have Abe, BigFace and other mudokons together.

From his expression I'd wager this is after testing the Shrykull power and this is Abe walking off to head back into Rupture Farms, confident with his new found abilities.

Do you even chant bro??

But they are all looking damn fine. I hope we get to see some gameplay animation soon. I wanna see how the flow of everything goes. i.e. the backgrounds moving, the animals moving etc. If they've nailed that then they deserve every award eligible.
