Heh, well while a glukkon would be a good financial advisor... I wouldn't wanna walk in on it in the shower if it lived with me. What an AWFUL site! When I saw Molluck... naked... the first time in Abe's Oddysee, I reacted at the same time abe did and went "YICHH!!" But I need the financial advice.

Financial Advisor - Glukkon
Someone to take on Roadtrips - Gabbit (seems like they'd be lovely company)
Excercise Buddy - I dunno! A slig??? Maybe a mudokkon.
Yoga Partner - Mudokkon
Hunting Partner - (Whatever the heck Stranger is... I forgot)
Someone to help me with my science homework - Vykker
Transportation - Elum
Pet - Fuzzles (indoor) Slogs (outdoor)

Yup, I agree, it wouldnt be the best site ever, although a Glukkon could help a ton!

Yeah. I seriously need science help.
But then, I only really take biology and the like.
And for vykkers to learn human biology ... they'd want to do learn from hands on experience. And I wouldn't be able to stand the cost of empirical data.

*chuckles*

My automatic thoughts are for a scrab, but then again, an elum would be much easier to feed. If I were wealthy and could afford the many pounds of meat a scrab clearly needs, then a scrab it would be. But I wouldn't have anywhere to keep it, and I doubt the stables where I ride would let an 8" carnivore near their horsies. >< Paramites are so cute though...but as with scrabs...where could it live? I'd bet they're easier to train though...dangit! Curse my logical side!

An elum would probably be much easier to care for. And less likely to attack passers-by. But then I don't get the satisfaction of a "Fear my beast of fearsome power! Mwahaha!" moment. Heck, forget realism, this is a fantasy - I want a scrab!

An Elum would be easy to feed, just buy a pound of honey each week and some bees(To sting him when he starts to eat to much).

I don't thihk Elums are completely nourished on honey. They are probably like bears only more on the vegetarians side. In other words, they like honey, but survive on plants.

Yeah ... there's always that to consider.
I still think that fuzzle is the best bet. No one would start fuzzle-hunting, they're cute and loyal - which means fun for the kids, and can be fierce - a perfect guard dog.

Yeah and if they did get in trouble, they are so small so you could just stuff them in you coat or pocket and be fine.

Or, alternately, have some kind of dentist file their teeth down to a non-threatening state.
But that would be bad for the fuzzle, and it would probably hate you for it.
So training it is.

Yeah, true. I didn't even completely like it when my parents wanted to declaw my cat! But at the same time, she was tearing up the place. I guess I would like to have a Fuzzle for a pet as long as you could train it.

I would keep a slog. I would take it everywhere with me. I would make it Maul people if they had a go at me. Then I could start breeding slogs! Eat him for your master! *Points at blind man*

Yeah. That's why when I'm home, I keep my door closed. I have two dogs at home, and one of them, a golden retriever named Rusty, got in one day and tore up my copy of my favorite book.
But I got a replacement today as a birthday gift, so ... YAY!

In any case, I would think that if you had a steef (or any oddworld companion) that found out about Oddworld, they wouldn't be so shocked. They are, after all, FROM Oddworld. They might be surprised to find that we've made video games, written fan fictions, and drawn pictures of people/things/etc from their home planet, but ...
Yeah.

if an oddworld animal/creature saw itself as a video game character, it wouldn't understand... it would be so confused,

Or, alternately, it might be a creature that doesn't go on rampages, like a mudokon or a meep or a gabbit.

Yeah but a Meep would start freakin out and bounce all over and destroy stuff, a Mudokon would run away and a Gabbit would hop away.

Overall, I think they would all be destuctive.

You should do different creatures and have them say different things.
