It's a kind of Arcade in Ireland. It's filled with arcade games and blowling allies and brill fun stuff like that.

1. What is a Leisure Centre? 2. Is it the UK equivalent of a mall? A mall is a large building with many small retail outlets selling all kinds of overpriced crap. They usually also have several small food and drink vendors such as Orange Julius and Ivar's. Is that your "Leisure Centre"?

1. A Leisure Centre is a place where people go to do leisure activities. Mostly Sport where I live. The local one has a Swimming Pool, Tennis courts, Indoor Sports area ect...
2. No. A Mall would be a shopping centre or something...

Kids should play/hang out/be friends, not date. Brave New World seems so shocking and weird, but jeez, we're not that far off. And if that doesn't mean anything to you then read Brave New World because any synopsis I give won't do such a fantastic novel justice.

And even if they do, do they really need to go out for that? They're ten. Are they really going to talk about anything on a "date" that they wouldn't talk about on the playground? It seems like being friends with someone can tell one more than enough to know if one is really interested. Of course I could be wrong. I have no experience, per se, in this matter.

i'm not saying they'll find it when they're ten.

but dating when you are younger does help you get accustomed to what the opposite sex is like.

in any case, it doesn't matter. ten-year olds are really serious about anything. another important facet of any relationship is sex.

sex is necessary in a healthy relationship.

and ten-year old just don't have the goods.

Im actualy wondering how this topic ever started. So preteens take girls they like to the movies or to the local cafeteria. I was in love with a girl when I was that age, I took her to a cafeteria once too. We went to the pool together too. Did I see it as a date? Im sure everyone here has done stuff like that when they were that age. But did you see it as dating? I suppose not.
Where does the topic 'Preteens are dating' come from? Did some kid ever walk up to an adult and told them: 'Hey, Im dating?' with the intent of actualy meaning a romantic dinner and a long steamy night afterwards? I don't think so. Thats our (14 and up) view of dating.

it's not really that uncommon.

i was just saying that a relationship isn't healthy without sex or at least some form of intimacy, so that's why dating when you're not really ready is more of a trial by fire.

thats nothing. Youngest pregnancy was at 9 yrs old. Although it was due to a very unfortunate child rape

And if the relationship involves no kissing/intimate actions, how can it be classified as a relationship? Face it people- relationship = chance at sex. On the subject of the 5 year old & the Grandmother..

5 year old children can't really distinguish that the word 'girlfriend' means a female in a relationship.. they just say it because they think its means a female friend. Hes seeing it as friendship & most likely thinks dates are more of a friendly thing.

I have no input on the sex in relationships thing.. My relationship involves alot of intimacy so I'm pretty biased on the topic
