I ordered Pan's Labyrinth off NetFlix the other day and am patiently awaiting its arrival. I need to see that movie.
Yes, you do.

As for me, I can't seem to find the Special Edition DVD anywhere. I mean, it wasn't even that popular of a movie, but everywhere I go... it is outie 5000. Annoying!

Just saw Hot Fuzz. It met and (surprisingly) exceeded my expectations. Not only was it funny, but it transcended a mere parody by becoming an excellent example of the genre it was lampooning in the first place (just like Shaun of the Dead). In fact, despite my passionate love of zombies, I think I enjoyed Hot Fuzz even more than Shaun. The plot was more... engrossing, I guess.

Just seen Jason X. Don't like his futuristic hockey mask. My favorite in the series is Friday the 13th Part III.

Pirates of the Carribbean Three: At World's End.
Very goodly,
Funny at a lot of parts,
Actiony at a lot of parts,
More of Davy Jones and the fish people,
Johnny Depp having hallucinations.

SPOILERS! FOR SERIOUSLY!

Minus one point for Elizabeth becoming the Pirate King

Well I saw Pirates and I didn't like it when I was sure I would. Also I saw 28 weeks later and omg did it suck. I mean it wasn't even like a zombie movie it was more like a drama that happened to be because of zombies.

I've only seen this one Jason film ('Jason X) and I thought it was fairly wonderful. The retro music was EXTREME.

Aaaand I've seen PotC 3. Now, I adore this series, absolutely adore it. And this third flick was exceptional, gorgeous stuff. The death scene of one villian was just sheer poetry (you'll know who I'm talking about once you've seen it).

I thought it was amazing and, like the 2nd one, ABSOLUTELY NOT TOO LONG.

I saw Spiderman 3. I wish I could have that 2 1/2 hours back. There are so many things I could do. For instance.....

Dance on broken glass.
Eat the worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle.
Tell a dirty joke.
Smoke crack.
Build a time machine and go back in time to abort Patrick Vykkers smarmy, stupid life.
Rape an elderly man.
Rape a retarded man.
Rape an elderly, retarded man.
See Spiderman 3.
Urgh. Now I'm confused.

Finally got around to watching the finale of 24.

The ending made me feel bad for Jack. Poor guy has saved the country six times and people still shit all over him.

I give it a 10/10 because endings rarely have me feeling any emotion like 24 did.

Saw PotC3 today. I must say, it was my favorite one so far. The first two felt a little disjointed at times (although they were still very enjoyable movies), but this one was very clear as far as plot direction and character motivations go. Great writing, great plot, and great comic relief. Just a good piece of spectacle.

And really entertaining characters as well. Of course there's Jack, but Davy Jones, Captain Barbossa (who was probably my favorite character in the whole movie), and the other Pirate Lord characters really stood out as well. Even Will Turner wasn't so bad. However, despite the fact that she was such a pivotal plot element, I really didn't care about Elizabeth. Her character felt so flat and uninteresting.

And also...

MAJOR SPOILERS.

OK. The Calypso scene: stupid as Hell. I commend the writers for not taking the cliché "let's make Elizabeth Calypso reincarnated" path, but c'mon. A giant lady that turns into crabs? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Make her all screamy and then explode into a giant burst of water or something else that makes sense and doesn't require lame giant growth.

Still, I loved the fact that Will dies. Not many franchises would have the balls to kill off one of the main characters, and I salute PotC for that. Plus, it was just handled really well. So that kinda almost makes up for the Calypso travesty.

And finally, I actually didn't mind that Elizabeth became the Pirate King. It made sense; her becoming King was the only way for Jack to get what he wanted.

END SPOILERS.

Thank you so much Nemo and SeaRex for your spoiler lable warning thingies. I shalt now love you forever and always. Continue to keep up the goodwork!

I saw the series finale of Lost on Sunday. Oh my. How excited. I don't think I want to wait another year for the next series. Best ending to a series. Ever.

I don't know how they're going to keep it going until 2010 though... :S

It was quite good. Didn't kill people with his machete though. He didn't kill as many people as usual, either.

I just saw PotC3, and TBH I don't know whether I liked it or not... Alot of it was hilarious though, mainly due to the writing. A much better film than the second.

Spoilers Coming up! Warning! Spoilers!

SO they've basically set up yet another PotC film, for Jack to go after the fountain of life/youth/whatever. How silly.

Like SeaRex I didn't mind that Elizabeth became the pirate king althought I thought it was going to be Jack who became the pirate king [I could see Elizabeth voting for him you see].

I didn't like the Calypso thing. Again, great that it wasn't Elizabeth but yeah... It took me ages to realize it was crabs that she turned into. I just thought it was barnicles or something, only when Pintel shook the crab off his nose did I get what they actually were.

I loved the line "Mister Gibbs you may throw my hat if you wish" *Gibbs throws the hat* "Now go get it!" Heehee.

End of spoilers!

Ha, I like horror and thrillers. 28 days later and 28 weeks later was enjoyable. So was Serenity. Hide and seek, and The Plague were good as well. Anyone see those?
