I know everyone would love to see the meeches "return from the dead". I dont. I think it would be better if the rumors of meeches were false and that they really were exctinct. I feel the story has more power when the people cant always get everything they want. Im pretty darn sure Lanning isnt going to wipe out the gabbits (though i think it would be the maxim of a storyline) so i would like to suggest the meeches stay "dead". one of the MOST MOVING scence from abes oddessy for me was the word exticntion sprawled across a poster of a meech... for only a brief pause. It captured the "we dont care" aspect of the glukkons. If the fans really really need to see meeches then have them show them in their former glory such as was done with the scrabs and paramites in AO. whatever the case, DONT just say "oh wait here are hundreds of these things we never found". There are tons of other speices on oddworld that the fans can fiend over (take the sea rex's popularity despite its sigular picture). Dont give in to the extremely happy ending and dont make it a huge downer, just give it some punch. food for thought.

I must agree. Meeches should stay extinct, with the exception of the supposed small group kept on an island for glukkon entertainment (Alf mentioned it once). The only reason they should be seen in the wild as they once were is if they made a game occuring before AO.

I never thought of it like that but you are completely right. If meeches appeared in the future it would wreck the vibe.

You are definitly right about Meeches. They should stay dead. As for the few we keep hearing about I balieve Abe will attempt to free those very few Meeches left by possiably sabatogeing the holding cells the Glukkons keep them in. This goes to my theory on a possable Circus runned by Glukkons in the entertaining of rare Oddworldien wild life and the Circus holds the last remaining Meech. I can see it now a huge sign "come and see the last Meech only on Oddworld." And this Meech of course is extremly weak and old and will possably die from mistreatment.

Agreed. Oddworld shouldn't be afraid to have dark and unfortunate parts in the storyline, even in the 'good endings'. Meeches are extinct, and they should stay that way, although I don't think anyone could object seeing them in a flashback of some kind.

Remember also that Alf said that the Meeches of that lost plateau were only a rumour, so they might not even exist.
