I laugh while reading. C'mon guys. It's much easier just to go with not having beliefs at all. People fight over it. People die for it. So forget all of that and look at it this way: "It's not the way you live that counts, it's HOW you live." So make your stay alive a pleasant one.

Hey! I am not going to Hell! I defy you to prove that. Well, I guess you can't go to hell simply for denying the innerancy of scripture, but you're teetering on a slippery slope if you do. And their is a difference between tolerance and niceness. If I think someone is wrong I don't go Oh should I say something and be intolerant? And what is intolerance? Because the way you phrase it Dragadon you seem to be implying that all ideas have equal worth and merit. That is moral relativism and patently untrue. IMO all ideas are equal Statikk. It is my belief it doesn't matter who or what you believe in...as long as you have lived a good life (and of course...regreted the bad things you have done) you will go to 'heaven', 'paradise', 'the next life', whatever it is you believe that happens after death.
I said what I said to warn you about your own judgements about others. I was (forced) raised as a Roman Catholic so I know something about Christianity and its many branches, thats why I jumped on you about it.
A question to you if you please Statikk...you said you take the bible literaly right? Does that mean everything that is said in the bible?

I just don't think it was just a good idea to take a good idea and build a belief structure on it. I mean, people always fight over who is right and wrong but it's not about what you believe it's just that you actually BELIEVE in something.

Sorry to disappoint Armed Slig...but humans have been fighting and killing each other for centaries(sp) because they wanted others to believe the same why they do. Humans have started countless wars in the name of whatever god they believe in. (The Crusades...heck...9/11 is the most recent example...) Why? Because they think their religion is the one true faith and want to convert everyone else to it and if they fail...they kill the so called 'blasphmers'. This mindset is not just limited to religion to either...the KKK is an example of that.

For the record, I believe in evolution, but just because everything else seems silly to me.

Oh, and about the 9/11 thing... what really pisses me off isn't the fact that it happened, it's the fact that they think all Americans are the same... uber-patriotic right wing christian zealots. Which we're not. I, for example, am the exact opposite.

It would be rather 'boring' if we all had the same beliefs don't you think? I only wish for tolerence and respect of others beliefs. Well...the beliefs that don't cause harm to others. The ones which sole purpose is to hurt/maim/harass/even kill others I have no respect for.
