Summoning the Elum

Hey, I am just coming back to Abe's Odessey in prparation for Munch's Odessey. I have gone into Scrabania and am at the point where I can summon the Elum (?). I know you need to ring the bell 1 screen above but I keep getting killed.

How do I get passed this part?

Just be quick. If you listen, you can hear when he turns. As soon as he turns, hop and pull. But watch out for the slig below.

Lampion:
The top slig protecting the Elum bell in Scrabania can be killed by Abe.

when you start in the first screen of Scrabania, there is a well in the foreground, and a well and a lever in the background, but they don't work yet,

1.you need to pull a lever in the third screen, to the left.
2.after pulling the lever, get back to the first screen and use the wells.
3. Pull the lever in the backgorund of the first screen to activate the well in the second screen.
4. Use the well in the second screen. Abe will appear just in the background of the screen with the top slig. Just possess and kill him.

I've found that if you get the Slig to face away from the ledge's edge and keep him firing, he'll eventually fall off the ledge and get rid of the land mine in screen number two.

And you can kill the slig on the ledge in the lower screen (where Elum ultimately will appear - with a well, a mine and a slap-activated/deactivated bomb).
Hoist up, but do to let Abe haul himself up yet. When the slig turns away (the second he does), get him onto the ledge and sneak to the bomb, sit down, slap it, and ROLL OFF as quickly as you can (if I recall correctly, you don't land in the bomb. It is just important you get off quickly, as the slig doesn't leave you with time to sneak back.)
If the slig does not automatically walk into the bomb, chant for a second. Then he will.

When Abe enters the screen from the right (were you come from)
walk over a little and lump the mine. The Slig on the plattform above will wake up. Then hoist and hang on the ledge untill right when the slig turns away from you and walksinto the other direction, then pull yourself up, sneek to the "timebomb", crouch, press iy, and roll of the ledge quickly. The Slig goes ka-bloomie. Then go left into the screen and hide in the shadow, when the slig leeves, you hoist up to the plattform and pull the lever when the slig is back and is standing on the "X" on the ground. Now, go yet one screen left and pull the lever (WACH OUT FOR THE BATS!!) and make sure you arent standing on the "x" beside the lever. Go back to the screen where the slig who got killed by the "timebomb". Notce that the well is shooting the smal peaces of bark (or whatever). Jump in the well to the right (next screen). And then you will end up in the backround behind the slig. run of the ledge with him so he lands on the bomb infront of the well. Now go back to where the first well (the one to the left) and jump in. You will be able to call for elum now. now go back down, by runing of the cliff so you land in the well and safely get put on the ground. Elem will come and you better find a quicksafe star
